Mr. Morris, if I may recommend, check out HillBuzz - Rush Limbaugh's reference to "the Babes of HillBuzz" notwithstanding, they are a group of gay men who campaigned for Hillary in 2007-2008 - Kevin, the heart & soul of HillBuzz, is now engaged in stiffening the spines of conservatives, in that "we" aren't going to take the attacks from "liberals/progressives" lying down anymore. The 'high road' is all well & good when both sides play by the same rules; in case ya hadn't noticed, "libs/progs" have been setting the rules {and changing them as they see fit} for the last 30 years or so.

As Øbama told HIS followers, "if they bring a knife, you bring a gun" and "get in their faces" - that seems to be the only manner of 'dialogue' libs/progs comprehend; of course, THEY'VE been the schoolyard bullies for a long time now - it's WAY PAST TIME for the rest of "us" to stand up to them. Sarah, Kevin, and in my own small way, me, are doing that - the vast majority of Americans are becoming fed up with L/Ps telling "us" how to live our lives - and Sarah is doing on helluva job letting it be known.

I guess what I would request of YOU, and all other folks of conservative leanings, is that if you can't say something nice about Sarah, don't say anything - she has more intestinal fortitude and love of this nation than any combination of Cocktail Party/soggy cucumber & mayonnaise sandwich Republican "insiders". {And I'm being NICE here; as a former woman Marine, I COULD get much more ............................... colorful ................................. in my writing.}

I'm 54 & schlep around in ratty jeans, but then I'm NOT representing the U.S. to all & sundry; and the folks I deal with day-to-day KNOW me, so they realize I'm not going to be picking hayseeds out of my hair ........................................... I sometimes expect Michelle Antoinette to be like the secretary in Ferris Bueller's Day Off - pulling pencil after pencil after pencil, etc., ad nauseum, out of her hair .......................................

Fred2, with all due respect - I lived in Mexico for a few years; can you IMAGINE anyone "choosing" to be gay in that culture which celebrates 'machismo' in all it's heterosexual, misogynist forms? Yet, we have friends still there, young men, who are gay, yet have to hide it from EVERYONE, including their families. Two of the young men I know just "came out" in the last year {like everyone else didn't KNOW they were gay}.

As Intolerant Fox notes, Kevin DuJan is one of the finest young men it's been my pleasure to 'meet' in this wondrous invention of cyberspace; we have gay & lesbian friends here in this tiny town in Texas, who are some of the most politically conservative folks you'll ever meet; their major issue is personal responsibility, and inculcating that into young people.

A LOT of the same folks who draw their skirts re: conservative gays ALSO jump on any & all bandwagons accusing Sarah Palin of being "polarizing"; it might behoove them to visit such sites as HillBuzz http://hillbuzz.org/ , Gay Patriot http://www.gaypatriot.net/ , Free Thinker http://nwfreethinker.blogspot.com/ ; I've corresponded with all these gentlemen, and they are ALL, to a man, proud Americans who happen to be gay, who love this country as much as any {straight} U.S. Marine, soldier or sailor.

Last I heard, "Progressives" outnumbered "Conservatives" - seems Conservatives would WELCOME those who share beliefs & values ....................................

We've been having "vehicle issues" - new engine "professionally" installed in truck, {only no fluids refilled & crank shaft-positioning sensor was attached with ONE bolt (requires 2), various vacuum lines not re-connected properly, etc., etc.}, air shocks on Buick SUV went kaput, so the only vehicle 'reliable' has been the old, banged up get-hubby-to-work Plymouth Neon - I've been playing apprentice grease monkey - told the Spousal Unit yesterday, it'd be NICE if he were impressed once in a while, because not too many 54 year old married women are capable/willing to help remove rocker boxes & their various gaskets & grommets, connect vacuum lines, remove hoses from broken fittings, etc. His response? "I'm sure you can DO it, so that should be compliment enough" .......................................... (SIGH!) MEN!! ;-)

When I first learned of FFL, their statement of purpose was to the effect that a woman can CHOOSE to become pregnant, but once impregnated, she is ALREADY a mother; having been raised Catholic, then being the first woman in my field in the USMC, their core beliefs always struck a chord with me ............................................ ;-)

Y'know, I don't generally make too big a deal of it, but here's the thing {for ME}: "Men" such as Mr. Cohen, who never served in the military, even though there was a draft back then, and now pontificate on the workings of the military, don't receive a lot of respect from me. Blame it on the fact that my father was a career Marine {Mustang} officer, his brother followed his footsteps {both were honor men of their respective platoons}, and while my Dad didn't see action in Korea {his brother was at the "frozen Chosin"}, my Dad DID go to VietNam, and various other places Uncle Sam's Misguided Children sent him. I grew up with ALL the adult men in my life having served, so when the Marine recruiter approached ME, it wasn't an immediate yes, but I DID continue the familial legacy. I'm married to a former Marine, who served in VietNam, so when I read or hear from such as Mr. Cohen, I tend to look around for the large hot-air balloons they must be trying to fill, with their compulsive gas-baggery .......................... he's the type who, I'm sorry to say, fills me with disdain & contempt.
