The Dao of Dragon Ball Blog : New Dragon Ball Z Film in 2013

Yeah, that seems logical. Why would they continue to invest in DBZ if it doesn't make money? But that said, I think the reason this film is coming out at all is because DBZ DOES make money. They're investing a lot into this one and I really hope that Dragon Ball fans support the official release, see it in theaters (if it comes out in their country) and really put their money where their mouth is.

"...sometimes instead of looking up, look in. We have the strength in us to do great and wonderful things, you just have to be brace enough to try." I completely agree. The secret to self-cultivation is looking inward and endurance. Those are the tools to unlock your inner potential.

I agree that Dragon Ball GT in Japanese with English subtitles is much better than the English dub. I find it painful to watch the English dub, to be honest.

The Dao of Dragon Ball Blog : The Black Goku

Yeah, you bet! Do you actually know who DaBlackGoku was? There's nothing about him on his site in the internet archives and I wasn't even sure if it was a guy. Can you tell me how old he was, where he was located (was he in the US?) and why he created the site? I'd love to learn more. And as a long shot, would you happen to have his email or know of a way to reach him. I'd love to interview DaBlackGoku! If so, you can use my contact form and send me a message. Thanks Anone25!

The Dao of Dragon Ball Blog : Anger and Focus in Dragon Ball

Energetically, yes, it is possible, although rationally it appears to be in contradiction to itself. Dynamically static is a term I came up with that refers to the duality of all particles, which are both individual particles and also waves. It also has to do with seeing past the illusion of static objects. The objects we interact with, such as our desks, computers, and even our own bodies and the air we breathe are all composed of vibrating and rotating particles. These particles (molecules, atoms, electrons, quarks, neutrinos) are bouncing around at a rapid pace, but our eyes make it seem like they're still. That's the false concept our eyes give us from being born in this world and composed of molecules. If we could see into the realm of atoms then we'd see a huge amount of space between each one of these particles, and each atom would be vibrating and rotating in its own cloud. So in that sense, everything is dynamically static. On another level, an analogy can be made to a tree, which appears static when you look at it in one specific moment of time, but what you can't see going on inside are all the moving cells and the expansion of the tree in the microcosm. It's constantly growing taller and wider, branching out in all directions, but we can't see it. So it seems static, but it's actually dynamic. Philosophically you can also liken it to the Taiji, with Yin and Yang in dualistic opposition, yet simultaneously one.

The Dao of Dragon Ball Blog : The Japanese Government Funds DBZ

Yeah, I think that's why they made the investment. Dragon Ball is a huge export and people from around the world continue to buy the video games, toys, manga and anime. Support for this film will probably include a huge surge of new products, all of which will generate taxable revenue for the government. And for the fans, we get more DBZ!

The Dao of Dragon Ball Blog : Will There be a New Dragon Ball Series?

You're welcome, Mia. Thanks for enjoying them. It's not specifically known why Akira Toriyama hasn't written a new Dragon Ball manga. That rumor has been going around for almost 2 decades, and to be honest, it's not as inaccurate as most of the DBZ rumors. Toriyama did work incredibly hard on the series and at the end of it he said he was going to take a long break. Lately he has been involved with the Dragon Ball Online game, and now the new DBZ movie in 2013, so it seems like he's getting back into the world and characters. Everybody wants a new series, but it's really up to Toriyama, so we'll have to wait and see.

No worries, I didn't take it that way. I think Ki is one of those things that has to be experienced to fully understand. You've either felt it and believe in it, or you don't. No amount of rational understanding can really prove it to you. If you really want to understand it, then start practicing one of the eastern martial arts, such as Gong Fu or Tai Ji.

Hi LRA, sorry for the delayed response. Your questions and concerns don't have simple answers. Ki is a broad and extremely profound subject, so it's not easy to summarize in a blog comment. For that reason, I won't try! Now in regards to the idea of meditation and the mind-body connection, you should check out Dr. Shin Lin's site at UC Irvine: http://mindbodylab.bio.uci.edu/ He has done some groundbreaking research on the effects of Ki on the brain and even on cancer cells. In this video he shows how externally emitted Ki reduced or completely eliminated prostate cancer cells: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&am... I've been trying to get in touch with him, but he hasn't returned my calls or emails. The rest of your questions will have to wait for an in-depth article or the full book.
