For the guest asking to buy or not the K5: Yes, it is a very good camera and if you're going to use it, you'll enjoy it.
What says Rice here is something you can find everywhere on the internet: Flaming a product for 1 post in 1 random forum.
I've already a couple of friends that have bought the K5, I bought one myself, and did not find any of the problems listed in Rice's topic.
I don't know what is the point of a post like this. It is not the first in this blog, and I still don't get it... Spreading information that are not confirmed and find by only one or two persons...
There are a lot of people that already got their K5, and they are not posting anything geeks are looking for, they are shooting with their K5 and happy to do it.

Here in France, each official Pentax vendors have received a couple of K5 (2/3 per store) for their best partners.
A 1st delivery will be in store tuesday 19 or wednesday 20 (a store in my town will receive 8 of these K5).

Waiting for your feedback guys... I'm gonna have mine on tuesday =)
(Fyi, I will get mine with 18-55 WR at 1249€ all charges and taxes included)

Sorry Rice, but I have to say that I agree with Bandy, Chris and Joseph in their opinion.
We do not need another Canicon on the market. Pentax is working were there is a place for him, a place with some money (slr) and technology (645). They try to do their best in these areas.
And I don't feel they need more and more gears... They have already a lot of gears that corresponds to any need, and at a very good price.
For me, Kr is a good position in the low price marker, and certainly the best at its price... Even if it is only a small evolution of Kx.
K5 is also a evolution of k7, but still better that the new Canikons! Pentax get less than 10% of the market, but their products are the best Perf/price ratio.
Honestly, I like your blog for the news, comparison, etc... But sometimes, I wonder why you are soooo bad after Pentax ?!? Realy, they are doing a good job these last years!

I really hope that one day we will have all the required information along with these pictures provided everywhere!
Are they JPG or RAW?
If RAW, what is the software used for the conversion, and what are the settings?
Can we have comparison of JPG from camera / Raw without noise reduction / Raw with lightroom 3 noise reduction ... And the same for the previous generation of camera?
because if these pictures have been shot JPG (which I don't use), they doesn't help me.
