The Guardian newspaper online version offers a button to click on to avoid reading about the Royal Birth! I think this is brilliant. I know I get sick after reading one-maybe two articles about anything Royal. Really once I have read all the glorious details of another Royal birth, I have had quite enough. Kate this, Kate that, really? Unless she ate the afterbirth or it was buried on the royal grounds with a small ceremony that includes the Queens dogs sniffing about I really don't want to read it. I hope PR Daily will adopt the same technique. I remember reading about Kate wearing pantyhose and really feeling my intellect taking a nosedive. Keep Calm and Push The Button.

This blog gives 5 reasons that every PR pitch should include a video.1. Video helps your pitch stand out from the clutter.2; Videos explain info more quickly than copy. 3, Video makes your brand seem more interesting.4, Video increases engagement.5, Video is not as expensive as it used to be. This all sounds great but I must say that I have often noticed that people use a video in a pitch rather like a crutch. I think the quality of writing should be concise and interesting. I also believe most people could use some practice on their writing styles. I have sat through many dull pitches that no one would watch except for the great video holding it up,

Running a Facebook page like running a marriage? The authors subtitles sure sound familiar! Open the door to conversation keep in regular contact with a marketing counterpoint. Not quite like going to bed at the same time as your husband but OK.Share your wants and needs, even though I shared often they did not ever get met, hopefully PR is different.Listen, make sure you listen to their needs. Oh I listened and listened and listened, I could say the words that were about to exit from his mouth, I have already heard it all before.Yes make sure the link is included in my weekly postings.Work towards the same goals, yes I tried that too. You have heard the joke "I can't tell you about a long and happy marriage, but I can tell you about a long one.

Why do online habits change, well the woman who wrote this blog says that she made a strategical decision to get rid of any fluff in her blogs and get right to the point. She also says she is spending less time blogging and other online activities. It seem that she was obliged to do some obsessive social networking for a publisher that she co-authored a book with. She comments that all that activity didn't sell more books.Apparently her friend said that now that she is successful she doesn't have time to bother reading Blogs and Comments, this hurt her feelings and her rebuttal was she would love to read and comment on blogs if she could make money doing it. I agree that would be the perfect job blogging commenting and reading blogs. As she says "If only you could get paid" Oh do I ever agree I would stay in my sweats and never leave my couch, except for more coffee.
