3D is a fad.. It's been coming and going for the last forty years or so.. IMAX, I think, is here to stay.. It's a viewing experience that you don't need to put on stupid colored glasses.. It's not for every film, obviously.. But something for those looking for 'That Movie Experience".. (Saw '300' on IMAX.. Something like that would work.. But it's also not everyone's cup of tea either)

Avatar needs to write some serious royalty checks out to 'Fern Gully', 'Dances With Wolves', and the creators of the game, 'Halo' which many of the vehicles were a rip off (no surprisingly considering everything else that was ripped off) (Plus, I think that Avatard was technically released last year [late last year] ) I did like Inception.. I thought it was a smart thriller/action flick that made you want to see it again.. Much like the first Matrix (the other two Matrix movies were a large budget/live action anime movie) But that's about it.. Not best picture by any means.. The others I haven't seen.. Part of the hype behind Black Swan, I think, is because of the lesbian scene in it.. And most critics will praise anything short of 'Caged Heat 5' because of that.

October Sky was the one good movie Gyllaanhall was in.. The rest I've seen with him in it, 'Donnie Darko'. 'The Day After Tomorrow' and others have been painful, pointless, funny in a completely inappropriate way, about a couple of gay cowboys eating pudding and/or moronic.

The thing that made Spidey great was that Peter Parker wasn't your prototypical comic book hero. He was a kid when the series started out and a socially awkward one at that. One who didn't get the girl (at least right away), wasn't on the football team or popular in school. Comic book geeks could identify. Toby Maguire was a perfect fit for Spiderman. Not exactly a heart throb by most definitions in the Hollywood sense. This re-boot won't have that.
