I'm from the MS Gulf Coast, graduated from Robin's alma mater. She spoke at my graduation. My husband has undergone a bone marrow transplant. I feel very akin to Robin on many levels. So very glad God has given her a big platform from which to glorify Him.

Why me? and Why not me? It can be gut-wrenching either way. Trusting God and his grace is the only way through either. A powerful reminder here, Lisa.

Susan, beside the zip lock baggie, do you store your fresh nutmeg in the pantry or fridge (freezer?) I love my apple pie recipe, but have never made from scratch crust. You are inspiring me to do so with your tutorial and showdown. Much ado about pie crust is getting me in the applie pie mood!

I'm stuck on this sentence:

"I don’t think God hides himself until we suffer or that if I ask to experience God I need to first experience tragedy, but I do believe I need to learn how to surrender in the everyday. "

Because I need to learn this too.

How I love it when biblical stories entersect our own lives so immediately.

Congratulations, Shaunie. You are a Berean. I've been interested in this series since your first post when I was on vacation and reading it on my phone was too tedious. I have just read all three posts in your series and see your thorough coverage of this topic and your thoughtful insight into what brokenness is: a humility before God that leads us to surrender, a taking on of his compassion that leads us to love like He loves. Conviction leads to wholeness and union, indeed.

I love your baby's rosy cheeks in the pictures after the egg hunting. I can see that your Easter was amazing and full of more life than daylight.____Blessings, sis!

Tulips are my favorite flower. I never receive red roses because my hubs knows I consider them a no-brainer. So I usually get a miscellaneous arrangement, pink roses, daisies, or one flower instead of a whole bouquet. Not that I get flowers often anymore.____Obligatory holidays are overrated. Just because is where it's at.
