Hey Lisa, This song is simply beautiful! I've been playing it over and over again since I discovered it on Facebook and used it in my own 9/11 remembrance post. You and Big Dawg are amazing...thank you for sharing your talents with us! God bless. Never forget. Never surrender. And thank you for your service to our nation. xo

Parcbench : Allen West Tackles 2012, SOTU And Olbermann

I am so thrilled to call Lt. Col Allen West my congressional representative! I was one of many volunteers who worked so hard to get him elected because of his character, his principled leadership and his bold articulation of conservatism. And after interviewing him on Saturday, I am even more assured (as if I needed it) that Allen will stand strong in his resolve to fight the progressive agenda and help return the USA to its constitutional roots. Thank you Rep. West!

Great piece Rachel! Establishment RINOs do not relinquish their power easily, but this part will either reform or soon become a footnote in history. God bless the Tea Party Movement/grassroots activists who've worked tirelessly to help commonsense conservatives get elected. It will probably take several election cycles, but with enough focus and perseverance, we will succeed in outnumbering and eventually removing all unprincipled, power-at-all-costs RINOs. Let 'em join the Dems since they have so much more in common with them!

Parcbench : Who Says Work Doesn't Pay?

Hey, just so you guys know, I have NEVER been a fan of Oprah! In fact, the first time I even watched a full hour of her ridiculous show was when she interviewed Sarah Palin last year. And I only tuned in for Palin, certainly not "control freak" Oprah. I know someone who is a former employee of hers, and she filled me in on what a nightmare she was to work for. Among other things, members of her staff were mandated to sit through "New Age" lectures from some of the most prominent authors in that movement, which really offended my friend's Christian beliefs. Anyway, I've never had time for women who revere Oprah like she was the ultimate authority on everything, and buy books simply because Oprah recommends them. Thankfully, I was raised by a mother who taught me to think for myself!

Parcbench : The Nashville Flood, Self-Reliance and the Mainstream Media

Who's holier than thou, Lisa? The fact of the matter is, much more time was spent over the weekend on two other stories of equal importance, than to the Nashville flood as it took place. In 2005, the media largely the devastation Katrina unleashed on Alabama and Mississippi, which is some cases was just as bad as New Orleans. It's a simple fact that there were no crimes sprees in Tennessee, Alabama and Mississippi as we witnessed in Louisiana. Mayor Nagin dropped the ball on his obligations as Mayor, as did then-Governor Kathleen Blanco, who refused to follow the proper policy by declaring a state of emergency. But as the skewed media narrative went, it was all exclusively the fault of George Bush. Mayor Nagin, in an egregious display of incompetence and attitude, went on national television and excoriated the president, as if he directed the hurricane to hit his city. Meanwhile, empty buses that could've transported people to safety sat underwater in a parking lot. At the same time, officials in the other states were busy taking care of their own, while neighbors helped neighbors recover. In New Orleans, police walked off the job and many residents looted and committed other crimes. These are all facts. Yet the media was too busy blaming a Republican president and pushing the "racism" narrative to extol the virtues of other Americans who banded together and refrained from using a natural disaster as an excuse to steal. Call me and the Nashville folks holier than thou if you so choose, but facts are facts. And I am sure they are deeply appreciative of your prayers and financial support.

Parcbench : The Tea Party, The Grassroots & The Republican Party

Steve, this is an excellent piece, thank you! It is truly disheartening that there are so many individuals who are incapable of setting aside their own agenda for the good of the movement and the country. And to answer Sam Adams above, that while this modern-day tea party is in the spirit of 1776, there are some differences. Since that time, the country fought for and won its independence and went on to form two major political parties, of which the Republican Party (formed initially as the Abolitionist Party opposed to slavery) evolved into one of smaller government, fiscal responsibility, strong national defense and individual liberty. I don't know who you think is "accommodating" the powers of a tyrannical government, because, like it or not, we do have an existing political system within which we must effect a positive change in getting America back to its roots. Or would you rather we support third-party libertarian candidates with no shot at winning, split the vote on the right and let the lefties stay in power? Every election must be judged individually. In the case of NY-23, I supported Doug Hoffman because party bosses circumvented the will of the people and hand-picked a liberal Republican that had more in common with her Democrat opponent than not. And it taught the Republican Party a lesson when Club For Growth, Sarah Palin and Fred and Jeri Thompson publicly endorsed Hoffman -- one we need to ensure they've learned. Anyway, Steve, great job as always!
