Basic things one can do:
-Dr. Rosalie Bertell, epidemiologist, Grey Nun (passed away 2012), gave us one elegantly simple bit of advice for what people can do: add spirulina, and drink distilled water between meals. It will attract radioisotopes for elimination.
-Dr. Chris Busby suggest supplementation: Calcium 800mg/Magnesium 350 mg to block absorption of radionuclides, and antioxidants to help the body deal with biological stress of radiation (also verified by Mousseau, Chernobyl bird studies)... without overdoing it, Vit A, C and E, ... addition of D3, B complex is advisable. Best taken dividing the dose across the three meals.

HOW do we institute such change? We have the ability to massively change the world with every choice, every purchase. How you live, every choice you make every day, co-creates the world you want. So let's save the world and ourselves!

We have to make it a grassroots, counter-consumption movement. Governments need to set benchmarks for building renewable energy infrastructure and stopping wasteful practices that damage the environment -- agriculture, fossil fuels, clothing, furtniture... but they won't change until the people demand it, thus, wherever you begin dialogue on change, we must recognize one simple truth:
Change begins with each of us - every day, every choice we make, every purchase makes our world.
Our behavior must change - collectively.

Go solar; conserve energy; buy only organic, local food and no processed 'food'; use public transportation rather than an auto; live closer to where you work to save energy; use natural, biodegradable products for cleaning, hair care; if you use makeup, buy only natural products, not the big names full of chemicals (Europe has far, far more consumer protection legislation than Americans! BeWare!); if you have an automobile, downsize and choose better... electric, better mileage or don't buy one at all --- education about choices and their implications for the environment thus becomes a vital part of making change. Thus the media must be scrutinized.

We must be more aware of how media - not just commercials, but also how 'science' is perverted. The business of lying about food safety should be made criminally illegal. One such example is Dr Arpad Pusztai - reknowned scientist who was fired from GE because he did his job well. He dared to speak out against GMO foods, did studies that proved they were a nightmare for public health, and that got him fired. Increasingly, his research has been maligned. There are many articles churned out by individuals and media hired specifically to demean his work, to question the science that proves that GMO is not good for people or other living things. The propaganda that is meant to dissuade people from realizing the problems with GMO foods should be made illegal and prosecuted.

That also should be extended to political lobbying and campaign contributions that are meant to and do influence laws made that protect corporations and place 'economics' more favorably than public health. I could go on and on.... it boils down to sharing awareness and also acting on that awareness... with every purchase and with every choice we make, we make the world. Realize the collective power in making conscious choices........we can remake our world! This revolution is necessary for our survival.
