And, as divorce tends to be pretty catastrophic financially, there's nowhere more reasonable to go than Manhattan, one of the most expensive cities on the planet.

Oh! I was thinking of another kiddie porn(ish) comic written by another lefty from the UK, The Unfunnies by Mark Millar: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Unfunnies

The comics community wasn't shocked by this. The comics community is largely leftist and already considered Miller a buffoon and Moore some kid of holy man. It's a big part of why I eventually found the comics community incompatible with my interests despite loving comics as an artistic medium.

I disagree with Mitchum. Actors may not be doctors, but the effect they can have on people is medicinal. Life can be very hard and painful, and making it less so is an honorable thing. Actors do that.

"Didja watch “Glee” last night? Come on, admit it … I know you did." No, no, I didn't. Didn't even consider doing so, really. Why does this get a weekly column here? "It’s the show we all love and love to hate at the same time. " It is? Honestly, I rarely even think about it. My primary response to Glee is indifference.

Big Hollywood : 'Paranormal Activity 3' Review: VHS Keeps Franchise Alive

I saw Paranormal Activity 3 at a Midnight screening last night, and I had a good and scary time, but, having now watched all three films under the same circumstances, I'm sorry to report that part 3 felt considerably less effective and more disposable. After the first film, I went home and devoured blog postings and online discussions, eager to read more about what I'd just seen and how people were responding to it. By contrast, Paranormal Activity 3 was out of my mind by the time I got to my car. I also wonder if any of the three films works if you're not watching it at Midnight in a sold out, jacked up crowd already primed to be scared. One possible correction, Christian: I got the impression that Dennis and Julie were not married. Also, it needs to be said: Lauren Bittner, who played the mom, is almost staggeringly hot.
