I am a homeschooler and I'm currently working on "Free to Learn" it is a wonderful book so far and shares a fair amount of information. As a homeschooler, I believe in learning through play in the early years of education which is exactly what we are doing. I use a Lit based curric to teach my little and we've been very happy with it. Additionally, our co-op meets at least 3 times a week if not more and I think this is the right step for us. I have to agree with most of the points I've read in this book so far.

My little one is too small to read just yet. We still have several years before he can start reading. But he does enjoy being read to which I have no problems with.

Nope. I just do things as I can and that's all I can do. I try to only put standards on myself that I know I can do in one day and don't sweat the small stuff. Someone once told me that "Planes will still fly even if you don't finish this report today."

That would make feel like I was at a spa! It is true that it is really hard to find things that will make you feel like the woman before you had children. I know that I always have trouble finding something super aromatic!

We only drink that! Because I'm lactose sensitive now, I've been looking for different ways to get milk. also since we are moving to Hawaii milk is so damn expensive on the island that almond milk is a much cheaper alternative! and in the words of my son it tastes like chocolate milk so it's a win win for him!

Never camped there. Been to it a few times since I live here in AZ (not for much longer though! YAY!) And we have plans to go again before we move, but I'm not an outdoorsy person lol and with a wild toddler it's not any fun for me at all to even think about camping. I do agree it is the most beautiful and peaceful and quiet place I have ever been to. I think so many people are just awestruck at how big the canyon is! It's really amazing! I can't wait for my little boy to go.

and yes that place can be cold almost all year around. We always pack jackets in just case it's too cold there mainly cause it's 107 on a good day in Tucson......
