I didn't give any cover examples in my post but I agree with you about the Sookie Stackhouse books. The covers are nothing compared to the books.

LOL! That's kind of how I justify the time I spend on my blog too. I've picked up quite a few design jobs that I never would have if not for my blogging. It's a win/win right?

Yes, Clockwork Princess was pre-ordered months ago! I haven't read anything by Vicki Pettersson, but I do have The Taken on my Kindle. I'll have to check it out.

There are WAY too many books coming out that I want this month. WAY too many. *sigh*

You have a lot of my favorites up there and some that I really need to read (some of them I actually own but haven't read.) Anyway, I'm a fan of PNR, and I can understand what you said about getting to know a new character in each installment. I don't mind that so much. It keeps things fresh, but I have to admit, I love it when the series brings back some of those previous characters. In the BDB, I loved the story arcs that brought Wrath and Beth front and center. I was thrilled when Dragos and Pia had their own book in the last installment of the Elder Races. To be honest though, I love them all. (Yes, my name is Shirley and I have a serious reading addiction.) ;)

I refused to count my books too... any of them. I was too embarrassed earlier this month when I had to count go through my incomplete series for a series reading challenge. Yikes! The good part about Let's Talk this week is I know that I'm not alone. *blush*
