PMSL!!! When we got my first cat the pet shop said he was a boy, took him to the vets, they confirmed that and booked him into be neutered. We took him in, got a phone call and hour later from the vet:

'We can't do the operation'
'Why not?'
'It's a girl....* embarrassed silence from the vet*

I think it happens more than we know :) x

((HUGS)) we'd miss you if you left - although obviously we'd come and visit you! I can see where he's coming from as it must be harder for him because he's away in other countries so often so for him this still isn't home. Whereas you and the girls have built a life here and like you say even if you were stationed in the US, you still might be 3,000 miles away from family! What a hard choice!!
