West Ham Till I Die : Creating a 'Changed Mentality'

Its a good post this, I always get the feeling we are a beaten team before we have even stepped onto the pitch when going away to the likes of Liverpool. For some reason no matter how new the player to the team it seems to infect them like a virus, that we just cannot keep a clean sheet for 90 minutes and that the first goal against is just a matter of time. We are still missing a solid reliable defender in the middle two. A sort of Jaap Stam or Vidic of this world who never cost a packet to buy but Fergie realises the importance of having a big solid defender who 99% of the time knows how to defend. Also when we do go behind who is the player that steps up and says right guys, lets not panic, lets get back into this game and then go after them. I was at the Man Utd West Ham game and the infamous Di Canio goal past Barthez, after that we took an absolute pounding but Tihinen and co just said "no way pedro!" and we came away with a famous win. We are just missing those "heartbeat of the team" players at the moment - Im hoping Der Hammer and Parker can provide this in midfield but still worry about the defence.

West Ham Till I Die : West Ham v Deportivo La Coruna - Match Thread

I would have thought Barera would start on one of the wings? I guess my only concern about Parker, Noble, Hitz through the middle is that i lacks genuine flair. If we are playing against strong centre backs taking Cole out the game the width wont really work unless we have an attacking centre midfielder who can get in there and make up the numbers. Pressure there I would say is on Noble but he didn't show enough last season to say he can do that regularly.

West Ham Till I Die : Latest Transfer Update

There are articles around quoting Sullivan and Gold mentioning that 'technology' exists to have cricket, athletics and football in the same stadium. I assume therefore there will be some sort of Japan 2002 style approach to wheeling in and out the pitch/track etc?
