While I'm not at the querying stage yet, this sounds like excellent advice, and I will keep it in mind when looking for an agent. I think if you go into it with the mind set it's a business relationship it's got a better chance of working out for you.

Incorrect usage typos always amuse me! I had a couple in my own A-Z post today, until my wonderfully Hubby edited the piece for me! ;)

I never spotted the one from Harry Potter, I'm amazed that got through.

Oh yes, I agree entirely. If a reviewer has left constructive criticism it's good to have a discussion about their feedback. That's how we learn as writers, and if you're putting your work out their, you're got to expect it.

However, if someone is being mean for the sake of it, then I feel it's best the writer just ignore the review.

I think it's important to thank someone for commenting on your blog/ story/ article/ whatever, whether the comment is negative or positive. To me it's good manners to thank someone for taking an interest in what you're doing.

I'm still not sure how I feel about responding to negative reviews, as I haven't really put any work out there. I suppose I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

Pimping is very good advice. You've got to put yourself out there.

I'm not 100% sold on Networked blogs though, it and I are having issues ...

Repetition is generally something I think I'm good at avoiding, and my CPs seem excellent at spotting.

Still, this is fantastic advice for writers.
