This is great - good job both of you! This reminds me of when our son (now 21) was little and Greg would spend time with him like this, playing chase and tickle games. Our daughter (now 25) loved those games first and would announce to her father when he got home from work, "Let's play chase, tickle and airplane - ALL THESE THINGS!" We still remember her - and our son would join right in. Later Greg and Shawn would play catch in the road and the other day Shawn wrote a text to his Dad reminding him how he was never too busy to "have a catch". They really remember.
I agree! Leanne is hilarious! Just her blog alone is SO FUNNY! I am a native Canadian myself (born in Calgary, Alberta) so I understand the snarky humor :)
Very good thoughts - I'm learning the same things too!
Hi Ricky! I've lived in both Canada and Fairbanks Alaska. I know what cold is. I don't like cold. That's why we live in Seattle :) However, I'm starting to not like wet very much anymore either - I'm thinking a nice dry heat would be a welcome change!
I'm coming to YOURS!!! Pretty cool :) Our choir sang at a really great one yesterday - honestly the guy was such a great human being, Greg said, "wow - hard to live up to that!!" His funeral will be very similar - he just doesn't think so.
I've only seen a picture of you and a video with you holding a baby or a child - I think the younger boy is your dad. So cute!!
Reading this made my day :) You are hilarious!
Ah - the name Jack. I love that name. If I had a male puppy - that would be his name :) You will be missed - if you were on facebook I would still get to talk to you once in a while :( But it's no problem - see you when you get back.
We were in our mid twenties and youth pastors during the mid 80's and will never forget our youth group in Jeannette PA - (4 of whom we have been in contact lately because of facebook) and the long hair and Robert Palmer rings a special "bell" of memory for me - I even posted the video several months ago so those "boys" now in their 40's could see it and remember "Addicted to Love" - so FUNNY!!
