LOVE YA mysteries and thrillers! When they're interesting with characters you like and connect with, it's the perfect story! My favorite is One of Us Is Lying by Karen McManus, and I also absolutely adore Julie Cross' Chasing Truth, which has amazing characterization and development for all characters.

I love how you couldn't decide which book was your favorite!!
It shows how wonderful the authors are, to make each book as wonderful as the one which began it all.
I love how we get to see what kind of world everyone lives in, and I love how the two characters are opposites but get over their prejudice to see each other. Love how their romance is slow but real.

I love how we get more of tarver and Lilac and I agree it was very mind-blowing to have an ending in the first book like it was, but I'm so happy we get answers about it all in the sequel and it's awesome we get to see more of the actual world and politics in the sequel as well.
