FinerMinds : Visionary Thinking - How To Reclaim Your Power To Control Your Mind

I think this is very important for people to realise and even more important for people to keep focusing on. I sometimes find myself slipping in this area and have to remind myself to keep a positive mind in order to succeed. The key to success truly lies in ones ability to think and control ones perception of reality or vision. My recent post Best of 2010

FinerMinds : Kevin A's 10 Tips For An Amazing Year

Great post! I agree with everything! :D In reality we just have to be our best all the time and constantly keep our eyes on the prize (our goals). When we slip and fall we get back up and keep working towards our goals, learning from our fall (failure). My recent post Best of 2010

I took the basic necessities you need in a modern society (because our food quality isn't what it used to be): A multivitamin and fish oil. On top of that I had some creatine at the very end of my transformation (when my diet was near perfect). I of course also had protein powder, but I wouldn't call that a supplement. I tried to eat as naturally as possible.

It doesn't sound like you're following the programme. Are you? Dude I can hear that you're really upset that you can't put on any weight and I can also understand that you're determined to do whatever's needed physically. Now here's what you need to do: FORGET IT! Don't get caught up in negative and limiting beliefs! I dare you to come up with one example of those limiting beliefs getting you any closer to your goal. That's right there are non! You need to get rid of it, stop feeling sorry that you have a hard time putting on weight and find a solution. If that solution is following the programme to the letter, finding a personal dietician who can help you, eating 25000 calories a day (not that this is the solution)... you need to find that solution and use it! You should read the ENTIRE book, follow the meal plan and the workouts and I bet you'll gain weight and muscle. If that doesn't work, and it'll take a while before you know, then find another solution that works. I really hope this will help you :)

Thanks :) Yes I read it, followed the workouts and the meal plan but I changed the times of the meals to accommodate my day. I did have trouble fitting it all in my bag but if you rearrange your books, have a pretty big bag and package the food in a smart way you can fit it in there, trust me ;) If you can't do that then bring a plastic bag with the food and carry it in your hand. I mean this should be the least of your worries. I didn't follow the meal plan for breakfast, I occasionally had eggs and otherwise I had oatmeal with berries and almonds. I ate between 5 and 6 times a day.

Thanks :) Well it sounds like your motivated which is great cause that just means that you need to tweak what you're doing to see some great results. Have you actually tried NNMB?

Thanks :) If you're completely lacking motivation then I think you need to review why you're doing this, what you want and why you want that etc. Because at the end of the day it needs to make sense to you in order for you to take the time and energy to do it. When you've done this you'll have the motivation because it makes sense to you and you'll make it a habit. If you're lacking motivation occasionally then I recommend that you do what I do and find some videos that really motivate you (short ones) and some music that gets you pumped. Then when you don't feel like going to the gym you put the music on, watch a video and get into a state of mind where you want to work out.

I followed NNMB with the 4000 calorie meal plan but I recently increased it to 5000. But I will take it down again since I won't be working out as much in the holidays. I think you should try out different things and see what works for you. If you can build muscle and maintain your six pack on a specific meal plan then use that :)

Hey Gabriel. That sound really cool! Since you do MA you should have some great HIIT to burn that fat but if it's not working then try to cut back on the carbs and perhaps increase your intake of healthy fats.

Hey Liam Good to hear that you're into it! Hmm it's hard to come up with any go-to meal. I would say that you should learn to cook chicken breast in different ways because it can get boring to eat after a while. I usually either bake it (stuff it in a pan, add some spices and a bit of water), cook it on a pan or grill it on a proper grill. I love to make salads with chicken breast because it's fast, easy, tasty and very refreshing. With salads you can eat WAY more than with other kinds of food. I also like to use whole grain burritos.

Hey Alex First of all thanks for the nice comment :) Secondly: If you cheat, fall of the wagon or don't make the perfect choice: DON'T SWEAT IT! You're body IS a temple but you have to enjoy they ride and that includes indulging in unhealthy things once in a while and enjoying it! Like I mentioned to one of the other guys here; worrying about what you're doing wrong etc. isn't good for you! In fact it'll hinder your progress. So if you decide to hang out with your friends and have a burger then enjoy it and live in the moment. I don't drink that often any more but when I do I have so much fun with my friends and we remember those nights for a long time! my point is that you can cheat once in a while but you have to feel good about it because if you don't then it kind of defeats the purpose of cheating in the first place ;)

Thanks :) I don't really get caught up in how much weight I lift. I didn't get into this to tell girls how much I benched the other day. But I'm pretty sure (this is just off the top of my head) that I bench 75 kg. through the giant sets (three chest exercises). I haven't squatted in a long time so I don't know. I dead lift around 90 kg, also in giant sets.
