I would insist foremost that GOP politcos both in govt and media stop buying into the endless gross mischaracterizations that are heaped on them from the Left. Just because it makes for an uncomfortable uphill battle, conservatives should not concede to what is a bogus picture. If you keep getting called a dirty skunk over and over, you might start to think that maybe you don't smell all that good. Just remember, it's them that stinks, not you.

Yours is a much better interpretation of the Mike Judge characters than my comparison. Young liberals, far from being clueless slackers, are actually very much like their mentors--they think they're smarter than the rest of us. Poker players love those kind of suckers at the table.

Yeah, I don't get the dog whistle thing. Or much of anything from the Amused One's arsenal of confusing invectives. I doubt Mr. 'A' actually knows what a dog whistle is or how and why it works. But when you're in the blog world you take what you can get--even schoolyard taunts and childish rancor. Hey, I've got a million friends.

As ridiculous as the ad concept clearly is, it does play to a certain voting demographic: People whose juvenile world view is limited to hedonistic pleasure and pop culture entertainment. Beware. Beavis and Butthead live, and they vote. I think Amused can speak to this segment better than I.

I'm one who doesn't assume that Wall Street wheeler dealers are by default conservatives who tend towards the GOP. In my experience, big time financial moguls are apolitical who can and will dance with any politician they're convinced can keep the music playing. For the big money players it doesn't matter so much who's in office as long as they can keep steppin' on the dance floor. Cynical but true.

PBS slanted to the left? Next thing you'll be telling me is professional wrestling is fake and Liberace was gay. My entire universe is crumbling around me.

The twisted thinking of American Socialists unfortunately still has its appeal. The Left will put blind trust in politicians who take money from private citizens and call it "good for the country." And all the while, they regard people who earn their own money as the "evil rich." I daresay that only a criminal mind could see sense in that.

We should remember that whatever the Left can't achieve through the normal channels of the democratic process, they always fall back on manipulating the legal system with lawsuits to force their agenda on the American public. Keep that in mind in the days following Election Day.

I think libs tend to view history from a contemporary perspective, as if people in the past thought like people do today. It's why so many on the left view America as an evil country built and maintained by evil men.

Apparently the Left's lack of vision extends into the world of business and marketing. I hope some savvy entrepreneur can figure out a way to make some bucks designing high fashion for the happening conservative of today. Why look like a dumpy Leftist when you can look like a smart conservative?
