So, I try to do what you say and then they just never email back. I asked about compensation for a giveaway that went on just before Fathers Day and the PR person never contacted me again with details, yet, I saw a bunch of bloggers doing the giveaway, some indicated they were doing it for free right in their posts. So, I try, and get left in the cold. What is the solution for that?

That's really not fair to your community, that you must have 50 entries in order for the company to give the prize away. I'd wonder who is advising them on their social media and blogger programs..As a professional in this field, and a 'runner of blogger programs' I am quite distressed at the practices displayed in the email, and the unreasonable requirements. They make it the blogger/brand climate very contentious. Maybe you should give them my number so I can help figure out a better way to attract clientele and, more importantly, influencers.

Good to hear the woman behind the blog, Deborah. I didn't know all that about you.

That's really tough. To tell you the truth, my mother does not have a mental illness and she's extremely difficult and hard to please. I sort of know what you're coming from. We do still try, but I laugh at all the cards with these warm and loving sentiments. I always have to find a funny one to give her so I don't feel like a liar.

Looks delicious. I love roast chicken. Hope your husband is on the mend. Also, you're lucky he can cook.

How amazing!! I will confess that I only went to ONE session at Blogher last summer. I felt exactly the same way when I was in NYC. I hope to go to Blissdom one year as well. We're glad to have you back, though, in Canada. you were missed.
