Hey GG Purgatus. I would have liked to see the game go longer (anything ending before turn 5 is not conclusive) but don't feel responsible. The venue was so crowded for round one that we could barely get deployed. We all had various amounts of ring rust or inexperience that didn't help.

Thanks for bearing with me on the hormagaunt mistakes, that is only the second time I have played tyranids in 5th.

Thanks for your compliments on our force, I am glad the cult is getting some press. Your Nids are shaping up, the army reminded me of Mkerr's Blue Table painted bugs.

I have been over the debates back and forth a bunch and I have concluded that by this wording Chimeras are allowed to deploy with the platoon in DOW. Yes the Chimeras are separate units but so are heavy weapons squads, PCS, etc.

They could have said "any units in transports are rolled for separately" but they didn't, they said non-dedicated transports. That's pretty clear that Chimeras are considered part of the platoon, and the platoon can deploy in place of one unit.

I don't like this interpretation for balance reasons but I have to go with it.

For fun I made a 2000 pt army list that can entirely deploy in DOW. This version was all foot, tons of infantry with meltas, power weapons and commissars; heavy weapon squads;... topped off by a unit of conscripts led by a stealth cloak Commie Lord.

Whoops DOW does not mention transports at all, my mistake. It just says units from Troops and HQ. Normally a dedicated transport and a squad are considered separate units but the new FAQ mucks this up for IG. So I guess the RAW lets you do it.

I don't understand why GW would buff a strong army with such a dramatic change and leave Orks and Nids practically alone.

Being a gamer / hobbyist will get negative attention in almost every school. Something about dragon and spaceship fans just attracts bullies.

Awkward kids get treated poorly which often reinforces their problems. Some problems you grow up with are there pretty much for life.

When a picked on kid grows up and gets their own apartment, then they can act like the badass they are.
