I love the art in this, but I also feel like...it gives Eve an easy out. Now she HAS to move on, her old life literally went up in smoke. No need to take that step herself, it's been taken for her. So I love it, but I also wish maybe it'd gone in the direction of her having to resign and walk away in a grittier way...?

It has been said explicitly but I can't remember when. I think Eve's mom or dad was talking about how they named them both after mountains: Everest and Rushmore.

Her entire family has thematic names:
Everest = Eve Ning
Rushmore = Mor Ning (I am curious about whatever happened to him)
Dawn = Dawn Ning
I don't remember her father's name.

etc.

My very first thought was that that foliage in the upper right also looks like cracks and breakages, as though this had been painted on a panel of glass that is shattered in one corner.

Yeah...though I have a platonic close male straight friend (I'm married) and so I'm quite comfortable with the idea of a straight man and a straight woman being platonic best friends.

But we don't talk like Will just talked to Hanna. We just don't. It would be weird.

Huh. I just got a tattoo and not only did I not leak at all but I didn't even bleed really. It formed a perfect scab which later flaked off except in one area that's taking a little longer (I got the thing 2 weeks ago). It wasn't even really red the next day, my coworker (who has tattoos as well) was pretty amazed that my skin took it so well.

Is the leaking an alcohol thing or do some people just do that?
