Congratulations on reading 75 books last year! 2019 was a rough reading year for me (I started my first semester of college, and balancing time commitments was a bit of a struggle), but I am hoping to read 52 books in 2020. My blogging also slipped last year, and I am hoping to maintain a two times a week posting schedule. Good luck with your resolutions, and happy new year!! :)

My dad just bought this book for us to read yesterday, so you can imagine my surprise when I opened your blog to find the top page was a review of Ready Player One! With the movie coming soon, I'm interested to compare changes in the film adaptation to the original (but the book always ends up being better, doesn't it?) I'm glad you enjoyed this book! I didn't even know there was an upcoming sequel, but I'll have to decide whether I'm interested after I read the first book. Lovely review!

love this post, Jillian, and I'm so excited that you're back and have enjoyed the last ten months! A lot changes quickly, and returning from a hiatus too, I've experienced a lot of personal growth as well. Best of luck on your college results and great job on your piano recital! The pictures from your travels are beautiful. I like the giraffe header, by the way!

Oh I love love love love Agatha Christie novels. I haven't read nearly enough of them, but And Then There Were None is one of my favorites. The last Poirot novel I read was Murder On the Orient Express as a re-read before seeing the movie, and I think it's about time I read another one. This sounds like such an interesting read, I'll have to pick it up soon!

I'm not a huge of fan of pets, but I love, love, love Crookshanks from the Harry Potter series! I think part of it is just the fact that Crookshanks is a part of the Harry Potter world and I adore the series, but I forgot about pets in those books until I saw your post. On a similar note-- completely forgot about the cat in The Hunger Games until now. This was a really creative post idea!

I've never head of this book before, but it sounds interesting! I love books featuring unreliable narrators because they challenge you to question what you're gleaning from the book. One of my favorite books featuring an unreliable narrator is probably The Great Gatsby, although that premise seems much different from this one. His Bloody Project seems like a compelling murder mystery and I'll have to give it a try. Lovely review!

YAY! I'm so glad you enjoyed Dangerous Girls, Jillian! It has to be one of my favorite YA mystery/thrillers of all time. I second-guessed myself with every character suspicion, and I was completely mind-blown at the end. I think I ought to re-read it soon, too, I loved it so much. I'm so happy you liked this book!:)

Aww, thank you Jillian! Haha, no, I love your sarcasm and CAPS LOCK in posts! (CAPS LOCK IS SO MUCH FUN, AMIRIGHT?) I'm surprised you think that way! When I first found your blog, I really admired you (and still do) for putting this entire project together and essentially building up from scratch on your own! Your blog was actually one of the first book blogs I found when I started blogging, so I was kind of nervous to reach out to you *looks down sheepishly*. I am so glad we got to know each other, though, and that we have become blog buddies!:)
