Ohmigosh. This sounds like the story of my... um...

... well suffice it to say that if I did have an autism blog, and if I did have an ex-mother-in-law who sounded anything like yours... and if I did feel such a sense of relief at putting some distance between me and her... then I would totally applaud your openness and your letter and say you rock for setting that boundary, you're an inspiration!

But of course, it probably doesn't even apply in my case ;) And I promise if I share this post, I'll take full responsibility for the consequences.

I don't have a cat. Yet. But omg, I get it. Thanks for making me laugh before I have to leave my desk at work and head home to piles of underwear all over the house. :)

Beautifully written. Our dictator has decided that all lights in our house must be rearranged daily. Poor little sister is now living with glowing jack-o-lanterns in her room because the moon & star night lights are in the garage & I haven't had time to swtich everything back. Why must it be this way? Because no one's been tortured, imprisioned or executed in the last four days and I like that. What can I say? We pick our battles.
