Thanks so much for the wonderful giveaway, Roxy. I really want the Trench Skirt right now. It's such a great piece.

Yes, I'm pretty sure they will. As long as you bought it within the past two weeks, they'll honor a price reduction.

I love the "classic" Anthro. From what I understand, their buyers have, in the past, sectioned their stock selection into three categories: classic, bohemian, and trend. This past year, they started worrying that their customer base was aging out, so to try to attract a new, younger clientele, they decided to move more heavily into trend elements (which happened to include a lot of bohemian), and ease off on their more familiar classic pieces. I hated this - and I know many others in the Anthro fan community did as well. I go to Anthro, because I'm NOT looking for preppy-20-something looks (J. Crew, Madewell) or designer/trend-inspired stuff (Nordstrom, H&M, F21), or generic "American" looks (Gap, BR, ON). I go there because I desperately want the CLASSIC looks - the fitted waists, flared and knee-lengthed skirts, pretty day-dresses in cottons with pockets, interesting and well-constructed cardigans, and touches whimsy that have nothing to do with the formality or "grown-up"-ness of stores like Ann Taylor or Talbots.

Anthro, be who you've always been. There will always be younger women who are seeking the things in your offerings that the women before them were seeking. Leave the trend and the other nonsense to those who've always covered those bases. The "whimsical classic" has always been what makes you stand out. What you've been trying has only made you blend in with everyone else, and I hope it stops soon. Like tomorrow.
