I remember an interview once where Ashleigh said specifically that she wanted to keep Hey Ocean! separate from her voice work. Doesn't mean that she won't talk to bronies after the shows, et cetera, but it means you won't be hearing a cover of Winter Wrap Up as a bonus track on a Hey Ocean! album any time soon.

And I totally understand: as an artist you want your work to stand on its own merits, not on the backs of anything else you've done.

I really think this fandom's music scene could do with more metal, though metalcore normally isn't my thing (I'm more of a traditional/power/prog guy most of the time).

Well, I'm 110 lbs. and around 5-foot-five, and I'm not sure exactly what the minimum weight is, but I was told by my doctor that I fell under it. Now, my friend (a paramedic, for what it's worth) had blood taken, and apparently they took out a significant amount from him. When he described to me how much blood they actually took, it made me realize why the weight limit is in place: that much blood going out at one time even made him woozy and he's pretty big, so it would be legitimately bad for someone like me.

I do want to give blood, but I'm legally not allowed to (underweight). I'm sure they'll pull it off with flying colours, though.

I've never heard of this show until today, but going on the information I've been given, let me guess-

This is one of those things that tries to marginalize people, by dirty editing tactics if the person otherwise seems too "normal" to be pushed to the fringe, so that other people can sit back and pat themselves on the back for being so "normal"?

In which case, the show is one of those things actively fostering "normative" viewpoints that do nothing but hurt the world, and respectfully, can pretty much burn in hell.
