"Registered sex offender Jason James Murphy, 35, worked as a casting agent in Hollywood for years before his past kidnapping and sexual abuse of a boy was revealed by the Los Angeles Times on Nov. 17. Murphy’s credits include placing young actors in kid-friendly fare like 'Bad News Bears'"

The Bad News Bears came out in 1976. Murphy would have been age 0 then. I guess he was getting a jump on the competition.

When Obama, with his eloquent silence, countenanced Junior ("Take them out") Hoffa's death threat to Republicans, he signaled to his faithful that even the veneer of civility didn't matter anymore. Krugman is simply picking up where Obama and his union goons left off. I expect there will be more--much more--of the same to come.

It's terrible to contemplate when--if--this downward spiral will end.

Whatever poison has tainted the memory of September 11 leaks from the pustules bubbling up from the caldera Krugman calls home. Safely ensconced in his cesspool, Krugman spews his bile, insulting his readers by claiming they “know” he speaks the truth—then with the courage of one who hides in the cover in darkness takes his final shot: “I’m not going to allow comments on this post, for obvious reasons.”

And this is where we live today. In a country that tolerates a president who thinks it’s OK for a union goon to make death threats to US citizens. In a country that gives a platform to a writer who tells one lie after another then taunts readers for their lack of recourse.

Makes you proud to be an American, doesn’t it?

What's hard for me to understand in the reaction to the Anthony verdict is its all-or-nothing quality. Yes--the jury decides and the jury's verdict is final. That is the way our system works. It does not, however, follow that a jury's verdict is infallible. In this instance it most assuredly was not. While the judicial system itself does not provide for seconding-guessing a verdict (a good thing), it also does not prohibit ones holding an opinion on a verdict.

Unlike life, there is no do-over for a jury verdict. I just hope Casey's do-over plans do not include children, duct tape, or chloroform.

A couple of weeks ago, on the ghastly Joy Behar Show, Joy was catching up with current events with a panel of the usual non-entities who habituate her set. One of them, an alleged comedian whose name nor face were familiar to me offered the following gem about the uproar over--I believe--Wikileaks: "As Sarah Palin would say, 'everybody is all wee-wee'd up...'" Joy said nothing.

Bashing Palin over her politics is one thing. But attributing coarse language straight from the lips of the Vulgarian-in-Chief to her is beyond the pale.

Funny how Obama gets a pass on his essential crudeness.

Wouldn't urine-soaked books qualify as fine art?

Interesting that the questioner claims to be asking about "race relations" but goes on to give three examples that have NOTHING to do with race:
the Arizona immigration law? Huh? Illegal aliens are illegal. Not a racial issue. The South Carolina governor's race? Huh? It's become racial because Repub candidate Haley has seen her lead shrink a couple of points? I don't get it. The "Ground Zero mosque"? When did Islam change from a religion to a race? News to me.

What these "examples" tell me is what I already knew: race relations have not, in fact deteriorated. I assume this planted question was asked by a questioner who went off script, but Obama could still provide an answer that pointed a finger at the usual suspects, especially the older ones.

I could not agree more; this theory is the only way to make sense of this appalling video.
