Deanna, I too am adopted. I've been on the search for my paternal side of the family for a year or so now. Recently, I've come to the conclusion that God closed that door for me for now. I'm a Christian who believes God never makes mistakes and that's how I've looked at my adoption. He knows the future and He has been full aware of my past. I had wonderful adoptive parents, not perfect, but they loved me without a doubt. It's interesting that you spoke of God hurting for us. I've never thought of Him as having feelings but all knowing power. It's very interesting to think about and gives me something to mull over. My question is, how can He have feelings and not make mistakes? Are His feelings of sadness because we are unaware of His knowledge about our life on earth? These are my questions to you.
