i know it's weird to say but maybe that installing linux into a second boot sector on onto a usb key might speed up your compuiter a lot. the funthing is that starbound is available whit linux. ubuntu revived a bunch of my old compuiters, i can tell you, it's really effective.

as i know the story, starbound was made by a part of the team that made terraria in the first place
and the best way to compare it to terraria is that:
normal to hard mode is smother (10 steps)
space
modable, you don't need a separate launcher this time yay!
prettier
and ... a lot less buged up

the actual answer is that it's actually really easy to make a mod for starbound, once you know what makes what, it just goes well.

no we don't have an animation yet, but i'm trying to do it for the unicorn magic. The problem is that i can't animate anything on the player character when he isn't moving.
