It's so funny, I rewatched this episode a short time before watching Black Swan for the first time.

The entire time, all I could think was how obvious it was that Natalie Portman (and Mila Kunis, who was worse) was NOT a ballet dancer, forget about a good one - after seeing an actual ballerina perform and realising that their bearing isn't supposed to look so laboured, there's no unseeing the terribleness of it.

So yeah, Summer Glau just ruined me for pretend dancers, even Oscar-winning ones who go on the PR blitz about how hard they worked. /csb

Joey's theory kind of fails when it comes to these two

KStew and RPattz seemed likable as people based on their obvious contempt for the pieces of shit they play in Twilight, and it's not my place to judge what a celeb does in their private life, but this is all so sordid.

Thank goodness Angel isn't Stephenie Meyer or Bob Geldof, he at least got the DO NOT GIVE YOUR KID AN EMBARRASSING NAME part absolutely right.

It's funny that he and Buffy have now both acquired young children (well, Dawn is in teenager-form but only came into existence like a year and a half ago) by supernatural means.

edit: I'm also really sorry about what went down on MW yesterday. I haven't been on here much since you reviewed BSG, but Buffy is one of my favourite shows, and I'm sorry some fans took away from the experience for you.

Oh, you....

I'm just impressed by the size of that owl's beak being wide enough to swallow a mouse WHOLE.

I remember reading the part where you said she didn't seem so bad/it's bad that the book was depicting her as bad because of frilly kittens, and I was like

(only you are not a girl, obviously - I didn't make the gif but the sentiment was roughly the same - I know, it's unfair because everyone imterprets shit differently and you had no idea what was coming, but there it is)

Because this is how she makes me feel

because she is unrelieved foulness and even looking at her name on a screen causes me RAGE.

Anyway, I'll take a break from the owl gifs and leave a panda here instead

Uncle Ben and Aunt May for Peter Parker/Spider-Man. Most obvious of all time.

Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert to Anne Shirley, Anne of Green Gables (and then, in time, Anne and Tvyoreg Oylgur to their own children)

And if anyone remembers Roswell, I thought the Parkers, the Evanses and Amy DeLuca were good parents to Max and Isabel, Liz and Maria, as was Sheriff Valenti to Kyle (though he was a bit too obsessed with aliens at first).

....a.k.a. the future Laura Roslin? (that film was the one that convinced Ron Moore to write the part of Laura with her in mind)
