Looks like you read some really good books! This was my first time taking part in Bout of Books and it was so much fun! I can't wait for the next one. I managed to read six books.

Side Effects May Vary sounds amazing, I really need to read that one. I'm also dying to read The Darkest Mind series. I love how that trilogy forms a sentence with the titles. :D Congrats on all the books you read. :)

Great post! I LOVE London and it's always such a treat when we go, even if we go there a lot. It's a pity I'm a few hours away, I'd love to go more often :) I'm not a fan of vampires, but I'll have to check this one out! Thanks for sharing!

Wow, this is really interesting! Before reading this post, I couldn't imagine any author turning down Harper Collins. But now I understand why and how passionate Polly is about her story. As I would like to be an author when I'm older, one of my biggest worries is whether the publisher will help my book or not. Feral Youth is definitely being added to me wishlist! :)

Aw, no! This sounds really disappointing! It's very frustrating when a book has so much potential but it doesn't live up to the synopsis. Thanks for the honest review :)

Ooh, amazing haul! The Testing and Chasing the Dark sound amazing, they are both on my wishlist. I've read a quite a few negative reviews about Ink so hopefully you'll feel different. The Rick Yancey event sounds incredible - I was invited as a VIP but couldn't go because of exams :(

Happy reading!

I'm glad you enjoyed this, Jack! I love a good mystery too. The synopsis sounds brilliant and your review makes me want to read it even more. It's a shame that it had its flaws but it still sounds like a gripping story. Great review :)

Oops, nearly forgot! I would take my kindle to a desert island - is that cheating? ;)

Thanks for the giveaway, Jack! I've only read one of Siobhan Curham's books before but I really enjoyed it. Lots of people seem to be highly anticipating this one, I hope I get to read it soon :)

Even though you didn't read much, you read some great books! I've heard really positive things about Nowhere so I'll have to pick it up soon. It's a shame you didn't like Last Chance Angel. I hope July is a good month for you!
