You're not alone! I DNF'd this one. I realized quickly that I wasn't the target audience for the book. The story was just too young for me. I can see how younger readers will enjoy it, though.

Haha, only 15! Also, just realized that I sent you a link to GR, NOT my wrap-up. *face palms*

It's a Netflix show!

26 books is a ton! I know how motivating a competition can be, haha.

I love The Good Place as well! I also recommend One Day at a Time, if you haven't seen it already.

I had a busy but nice January. I didn't read as much as I'd have liked, but most of what I read was great. Here's my wrap-up: https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/8630441-marai... 😊

Congratulations, Holly! Six years is an incredible achievement. I really hope you get to do a book blurb some day. :)

Your graphics are adorable! And I'm still so happy that you recommended Starfish. I've lost track of how many people I've recommended it to, some of whom have read and loved it already.

Yesss, I definitely agree with the first 5 and number 8. (I don't know the rest.) I would add Simon's dad from Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda. The rest of the ones that immediately come to mind are kind of spoilers, haha.

Ugh, I was so disappointed by Carry On. Fangirl is one of my favorite books, but Carry On was such a fail. I did really like the scenes with Baz and Simon, but that was it.

Haha, Sebastian and I wrote a whole discussion post on the disappointment that was the 2016 reading year. xD

Woohoooo, I'm so ready for A Conjuring of Light. I'm fully expecting it to break me. I also can't wait for Our Dark Duet or for Strange the Dreamer. I think I'm most nervous for Strange the Dreamer, since it's a new series. I loved Daughter of Smoke and Bone so much, and I'm worried that it can't possibly live up to my expectations. My other highly anticipated releases are The Hate U Give, City of Saints and Thieves, and Radio Silence. (I've already read the second two, and they're amazing.)

Morning Star was on my list, too! (Which I actually made this year, woohoo!) The Knife of Never Letting Go was a top reread this year as well. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to read Gemina, but it's one of my priorities for 2017. :)

I'm feeling scared and frustrated and angry and often hopeless. I honestly don't know how we're going to get through this. But I'm pushing myself to step outside my comfort zone and do things like make phone calls to my representatives. It's scary, but I refuse to sit around and do nothing. It never feels like enough, though. I don't have relatives (or even many people on Facebook) who supported Trump, fortunately, so I can only imagine how much harder that makes all of this for you. I'm proud of you for sticking up for your beliefs. I know it's not easy, especially when it's family who refuses to listen. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Holly! *hugs*
