Also, the Level 80 Dark Knight quest has some extra dialogue in the journal if you look at it as a DRK. The text disappears otherwise.

Karasu is fantastic. He's reason enough to play Ninja.

- V'kebbe is best girl.
- I can't understand a word of Jacke's accent.
- Never steal V'kebbe's sandwich.
- Being stabbed by a Lalafell sounds terrifying.
- V'kebbe can be found outside of the restaurant in Limsa eating a sandwich now and then.
I forgot the Bloody Executioners were involved in this quest. Always nice to see things that become story important later get referenced in older content. Kinda like how I did Red Mage content in ARR and Zenos was brought up there well before I'd ever have met him.
This is a nice class questline, for sure. Thaumaturge was also good, and I have a soft spot for Pugilist as well.

The Sahagin probably have the best ARR Beast Tribe quests.

I don't think Kefka is a particularly deep character either, but I think he works as an antagonist because of how he's used in the story. The very first time we see Kefka, he's used to show how he's taken away everything from Terra, including her free will, and left her as a blank slate that has no direction or purpose in life. As the game goes on, though, Terra manages to develop a desire to live and things that she cares about, in stark contrast to Kefka who finds there to be no meaning in life. The other party members also have various things that they care about which Kefka threatens (save for Umaro and Gogo, I guess), putting them into direct conflict with him as well. Final Fantasy VI is sort of an anthem to life, much like IX, so I feel Kefka works as an antagonist there because he basically is a force that makes every character look at what is important to them.
Fandaniel is apparently trying to be a similar character, but my issue here is that he just came on the heels of Emet-Selch. And several other Ascians. All of whom already did the whole "You all should die/don't deserve to live" thing, which the Scions already refuted with their experiences and such in Shadowbringers. Heck, the Warriors of Darkness pulled something similar in Heavensward. It feels like we've done this arc five times over in XIV, so I don't really see what new he can bring to the table.
Granted, this is still 5.4 and even Emet-Selch seemed similar to Fandaniel in 4.4 with his whole "Wahaha, I created the empire to sow chaos!", so I guess we'll see how things go once 6.0 drops.
Anyway, just wanted to get that off my chest since I think my last comment was a bit dismissive without explaining my thought process!
