I don't think I could review Guilty Crown now (though it does look fantastic) since I'd be a little behind. I'm glad to hear Bass will be picking that up though - I was worried he'd gone missing again!

I... have to watch Last Exile first but I think it's between that (even though I'm behind on that too, haha) or Mirai Nikki. Hmmm... it seems like I'd be behind in everything if I start now.

I haven't watched Last Exile yet - and for that matter, I only just finished watching Guilty Crown; how I managed to forget those two shows this season, I don't know, haha. But... why don't you choose one of those two? They definitely look promising (if you don't want to get locked into Chihayafuru). And I also think it's fine if you've never seen the first installment of Last Exile; I think there are lots of people (myself included) who are in the same boat. I mean, as an independent show, it should be able to entice and engage viewers who've no prior experience with the series on its own.

I can't quite get a grasp on Un-Go's setting, which is sad, because it might actually turn out to be good. It might take another episode or two to see whether or not we can catch onto the main storyline, but then again, I'm not sure if waiting that long to pick something up makes a lot of sense.

I think... it would be fun to review the same show this season! (Since we're both deliberating...)

There are some moments in anime that make me want to go out and learn Japanese. This is one of those moments. I cannot wait for this movie!! Ever since the last episode of the second season aired. Ever since the special episode after the last episode of the second season aired! I hope they showcase the song played in the background because - as K-On music goes - it's quite different from anything else they've put out, and it sounds super cute~!

I'm curious to know the setting of the movie though, because it's obviously before our seniors graduate. Is it... the follow-up of their trip planning!? Do they go to London or is that just day dreaming!?

I adore your "Best of Season"s. But aren't you supposed to change the banner according to the winning series of the season? (Kind of like how Mami graced the banner after Madoka Magica was picked as best series of Winter?)

Part of me wants to defend the crying because we are talking about a group of emotional teenagers dealing with an emotional subject that they've ignored for the past who-knows-how-many years, and to have all those thoughts and memories and suppressed guilt come out all at once... but I didn't enjoy the crying either so I won't bother.

I hadn't thought about the purpose of Menma's wish and how it all really ties back to what Jinta's mother wanted for him, so I'm glad you pointed that out because it does add a layer of depth to the story that I overlooked. I suppose Jinta's personal growth happened so well that I didn't even really notice!

The music for this show is fantastic. The timing, the tone, the scoring... I used to not pay attention to background music, but more recently I've come to appreciate it when it's done well - and grimace when it's terrible. There were quite a few piano pieces in AnoHana that I really liked.
