(and I really want to suggest Book of a Thousand Days, which I loved, but I see this is an Own Voices thing, and the author is white. Just FYI, though, the book is kind of a fairytale retelling, set in Mongolia).

For Graphic Novel with Asian MC, I recommend Monstress. It's a bit disturbing, but beautiful.

Thanks for sharing all of this! I've recently sort-of gotten into bullet journaling, as it seems so beautifully flexible. I do have question: where do you find dot grid journals? I've looked in office supply stores, craft stores, and box stores and nobody seems to carry these. :/

Happy birthday! That sounds like a lovely way to spend a weekend. And Toby is growing so big!

I'm so glad you're feeling better! Scarring on the kidneys sounds horribly frightening. It's a shame we all learn this lesson by reaping the consequences of pushing too hard, but I'm glad you're holding tight to the right priorities, and I hope you don't have any more health scares in the future. Or, as few as possible, anyway. I'm not sure if this means you're stepping away from blogging, or just making sure to prioritize your health despite crazy schedules, but I wish you the best of luck either way (and congrats on leaving a toxic job environment)!

Alexia Tarabotti from the Soulless series by Gail Carriger is an example of a fat MC who loves the skin she's in and doesn't focus on distracting people from what she looks like. She's the only one I can think of right now who accepts her size and moves on, but surely there are others...(I hope)

I've actually NEVER had an issue coming up with post ideas. Quite the opposite, in fact! But a large part of that is because I didn't want to be a niche blogger. I know it makes you more of an expert (or makes you look like an expert, anyway) if your blog is focused on one thing, but all of us are interested in more than one thing...and just exploring non-niche activities and interests will give you blog post ideas for days.
