Regardless of the nature and virtues of childhood fantasies I'm going to throw out an unscientific guess that the quantity and quality of love, education and encouragement are rather more important. (As far as I recall the youthful BenSix wanted to be a footballer, a policeman and a superhero. Now I haven't watched a game in years, the closest I've come to the force is being ticked off by them and the nearest I've got to heroism is being so tired I pulled boxers on over jeans.)

Unless, of course, you meant to suggest that he's alienated the nation that he's giving billions of dollars to and sucking up to the country he's hit with sanctions. Palin identifies with working class American's more than her wealthy opponents. She apparently likes nothing better than working with her husband on his fishing boat, or go out hunting or fishing. Better hope the working classes like being condescended to!

Well, here's a whole lotta legalised eugenics for you. It's incoherent, surely, to say that foetuses don't have the right to life unless the parent wishes to expunge them on the basis of discrimination. Why is it acceptable in 2010 with all the legal protection we (appear) to have to still spread hatred and advocate murder of disabled people, in the name of feminism... Sirrious question: are "suffering person" and "disabled person" so interchangeable? Someone with limited cognitive abilities might be less equipped to suffer than a *cough* normal person. Advocates of legal suicide - generally, anyway - think that life can be so painful as to be of no real worth. (I'm picturing victims of, say, motor neuron disease but it might just be someone who feels that life's too shit to live). Under this rationale the sufferer makes a choice to die. Whether or not one agrees with it - and I don't have a cast-iron view - it's not eugenics (ie. the science of improving stock).
