Thank you Adelien! You're right, there are so many things to be thankful for. I've learned to be thankful for even the simplest things, like driving to work and making it back home safely.
I've learned more lessons than I care to count, but I'm still grateful for every last one of them. It took me a minute to get that appreciating people who deserve to be appreciated, but I finally got it!
Jill that's the one thing it took me a while to do - be okay with who I turned out to be. Instead of being grateful, I used to compare myself to others, or allow others to try and shape my life the way they thought it should be. I'm so thankful I stopped that.
You're welcome Bonnie! I can list so many things that I'm thankful for, but I just wanted to get down to the basics.
Now that's funny! The day my little one sits through a photo session without any issues or antics (or me having to go above and beyond just to get her to cooperate) I will be thankful and overjoyed! LOL
That's so true. We can get so caught up into what's going on, or what we're doing that we often forget to just stop and be thankful.
Why thank you! Happy 18th Birthday to your baby girl!!!
Thank you! Now that's something to definitely be grateful for. While I may want another house that's larger, and in a nicer area, I am absolutely grateful for the one that I have. I can recall a time when I almost didn't have a place to stay, and those that I should have been able to count on had no problem if I had landed out on the street. But like always, God provided.
I try to look at my experiences as learning lessons. That has also helped me with that thing called forgiveness. I was always told that there's a reason for everything. I may not have always understood the concept at the time, but I can now look back and thank God for the lessons He taught me.
Mimi, I've been asking when did this breakdown happen for quite some time now. I just don't get it. It's easy to say that young folks these days don't have any type of respect for anything, because many of them don't. But it's the fully grown adults too! And if there's any group that should clearly know better, it's them!
