I've never thought about how comforting it could be for someone whose pet has passed to have a blanket with their picture on it, Kathleen! What a great idea! I'll be pinning!
Happy Birthday to Jessica! Is she your daughter, Christina? Thanks for sharing about that joyous celebration, as well as offering up some other gems for us! It was nice to meet you too back at my place! Have a great rest of the week, my friend!
Wow! So many great resources for moms and homeschoolers, Lisa. Are you a homeschooling mom? Either way, I'm inspired by your thoroughness and I love the craft ideas. I used to lead children's church back in the day and this is all stuff I would've eaten up! Thanks!
I do hope you continue to persevere in blogging and in sharing the lessons you are learning at the Lord's feet, MB. That is a worthy cause, regardless of how many readers you receive. It's what God is going to do in you that is the most amazing part. I've been blogging for 6 and half years (almost 5 of those at my most recent blog) and if I simply gauged my ministry by my stats, I'd be disappointed for sure! But when I see how God has grown me up through this process, I see that it is more than worth it! Thanks for being so vulnerable. Hang in there, my new-found friend!
Thanks for your vulnerability and humor in this, MB. I think I would like to be better at being more relaxed in social situations. I'm an introvert and have overcome this quite a bit in my life, but I still feel way too much anxiety and sometimes it shows--which makes me all the more anxious! I also would like to play the piano. I took lessons when I was a kid, but never kept up with it after we moved away from my piano teacher. So it is a lost art that I found great pleasure in. Now I simply listen to music constantly to fill that gap! Nice to meet ya and thanks for visiting me back at my place!
Hey there, Marissa! I've never visited your blog before or known about your linkup! I'm going to add it to my list of linkups and am headed to your FB page to like it as well. Have a great day, my friend!
The blessing of God's truth to me today is that I must continually apply His word to my heart and life. I'm reading through Luke and today read through the parable of the sower. The "perseverance" (Luke 8:15) that God blesses stood out to me, my friend, much like your experience of the power of worshiping God in Spirit and Truth! Thanks for sharing how you were so moved by God. Very inspiring!
The idea of this book sounds great, Marissa and the chapters look very interesting as well. Thanks for giving us your thoughts on Misty's hard work.
Have you read, Jeff Goin's book "Wrecked"? If so, then you know it's good to be a wreck, my friend.
I know that your adventures with and ministry to the homeless is making you into a beautiful reflection of Christ. I see it every week shining through you, Lisa! And I love your words, "That it blends both our worlds, making them less about us and more about God." That truly is happening. I see it and am glad. :)
