"until Seth fixes it"
Ha! Thanks for the laugh.
Not by a long shot. Have we been watching the same show?
Kids & their families will always be the target audience, as the show staff have made abundantly clear on many occasions. Besides the fact that its primary purpose for existing is still first and foremost to act as an advertisement for Hasbro's toys, it's that aim towards young children and the setting up of well-written positive role models for them that made this show what it is and attracted us periphery fans in the first place. I don't think I'm alone in saying that I wouldn't want to see that change!
Getting vibes of "It's a Wonderful Life", myself.
...someone really needs to tell Seth what "on the chopping block" means. :/
Writers are in L.A., while the production team (boarders/animators/voice/sound) are in Vancouver. Much of the animation work is also carried out by Top Draw in the Philippines.
They probably didn't intend for her to sound just like an adult in that scene. I'm guessing it was too challenging for Lena Hall to attempt a prepubescent voice while maintaining the show-stopper vocal quality required for the scene, and that it would've sounded too unnatural with digital altering.
Remember the target audience. For many of the younger viewers, it could be their first such story!
The U.S. went off Daylight Saving Time on Nov. 1, moving back one hour. It still airs at 11:30 Eastern (or 8:30 Pacific, for those of us on the west coast).
