Sean the Blogonaut : Oops he did it again.

If I didn't know better, I would swear the Vatican was a Poe. That's how bad the last 6-12 months of statements from the Pope and his cohorts have been.

Sean the Blogonaut : Ethics Classes look to be going ahead

The only problem is that it looks like we're going to change government in the next state elections (February if I'm not mistaken), and the leader of the NSW Libs is VERY opposed to the ethics classes. He won't listen to reason or logic in reguards to them. He's basically just doing an Abbott and parroting everything the high bigot bishop george pell says. I get the feeling that no matter how far through the approval and implementation process the ethics classes get, he'll reverse it very early on.

Sean the Blogonaut : Burqa Banning…thinly veiled State Oppression?

That's one thing I'm often left wondering, how much of this "banning the burqa" is just media beatup? How much of this is people actually wanting the burqa itself banned? Contrarily, how much of this is just people honestly wanting to ban face coverings (including helmets, masks, costumes etc) in public places? While I do find the burqa nothing more than a device of opression, I have no desire to see it and it alone banned. Stood up against yes. Banned, no. If it is JUST about face coverings with all types (helmets, masks, costumes etc, with helmets having the obvious exception of when one is operating a motorbike or similar device) being treated equally regardless of reason for it being worn in public for the purpose of public safety and identification, then I have little to no problem with that at all.

Sean the Blogonaut : South Australian policeman stood down for exorcism

Charges have been dropped as the people "agreed" to restraining orders. I was not under the impression a restraining order was something the receiving party had to "agree" to? How is this in any way shape or form a compromise? http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2010/07/06/294...

Sean the Blogonaut : The price of skepticism?

That is very true, people most certainly can be "a dick" in support of something as well. Like you, I do not agree at all with those saying things along the lines of "how dare you say anything". I certainly hope my comments are not being mistaken for being as such. The only thing I personally am saying is "take some deep breaths first, check what you're going to say to ensure it is not inflammatory". :) My recent post #TAMOz – Pricing, Website, Ticket Availability.

Sean the Blogonaut : The price of skepticism?

What has shocked me the most is how angry some people have gotten in response to the pricing. They are taking it almost like a personal insult towards them, and retorting in flames. Worse yet are the completely unfounded accusations which are on the verge of being "BIG PHARMA!" calls for how absurd they are. It has been extremely difficult to bite my tongue and not get in to a huge argument about it. These people's statements have been very anti-productive, and continuing any argument or even discussion with them would be just as anti-productive. It has shocked, amazed, and to be brutally honest absolutely disgusted me. Some of the people complaining (and keep in mind this is only the vocal minority), I am actually very glad and relieved that they will NOT be attending. There are many more who have been prohibited due to the price which I am extremely disappointed I will not be seeing. If you are upset, please, try not to be a dick about it. You're doing nothing but ruining things for everyone else and making a fool of yourself. That is all I can say.
