I think in PSG's case, without its American-ish pop art style it just wouldn't be PSG anymore. A lot of its humor is based on how they deliver it visually so it wouldn't really work if it went by the standard anime style.

Thanks for this! When I started out last year, I was really confused on what exactly to say. I thought episode reviews were the only kinds of posts for anime blogs, but now I'm trying to think of other things to write about (mostly movie reviews and recommendations, but I'm going to be posting up fashion-anime hybrid stuff).

Summarizing what happened in the episode is pretty pointless, as you said. Usually I just throw it in so there actually words in between pictures so it doesn't seem like a random picture spam.

I miss Madoka Magica already )': Your Madoka posts have good points, and I especially liked reading the comments others make on them. Sometimes, rather than the actual episode review, I'm more interested in what others have to say.

I hope the reviews and such for Kaiji haven't overhyped it too much so that you'll be disappointed after watching the first season! Although, I can't imagine that happening because Kaiji is BAMF as hell.

I'm no physicist, but if I understand QB and his race correctly, and the basics of the heat-death of the universe theory & the arrow of time, then this might refer to Homura's ability to go back in time over and over again, and to stop time altogether, as well as the idea that the timelines are not completely independent from each other. (I think I'm just confusing myself from this point...) If anything, it's QB's plan all along. Every time Homura goes back, Madoka will feel more and more despair, which is exactly what QB wants.

but, uh, sometimes it's best not to try to think logically maybe lololol. I really appreciate that you wrote out the timelines! I agree that having four is pretty frustrating @_@

Dude, you are seriously right about no one getting hurt. It's like every time something completely serious happens they forget about later (like their pacing rules, as you mentioned as well).
