I love how you put this! - I am so looking forward to many voices speaking as one - more voices than one alone - and seeing what ripples. I'm also excited to be a part! - Best - L

I love your article about raising a powerful girl - so well written. And congrats to your powerful girl on her poetry - you obviously have two great writers in your family.

Sorry to hear its been a bumpy week on the hormone front and hope that sorts out soon for you.

I too feel as though I am forever catching up with the reading of those I enjoy - thanks for the list! Because this was a pretty blog-lite in all ways week for me. I will be sure to swing by some of your suggestions! - Louise

I love aquariums and wish we had one near our home (closest we have are pet shops!) Your photos are amazing and it looks like you had a great time.

And congrats on your two publishing opportunities! I'll pop over an read about your apparent lack of parenting skills. Which is a joke - because, agreed, haters gonna hate. And it is so much easier to make snide, judgemental comments about others than actually put yourself out there.

Have a great week!

I'll echo the hooray for football - and watching kids play is just so much fun!

I love reading about all the sports your kids do - I hope in about 5 years I have similar posts about how active mine are.

Glad your daughter got recognized - and good on you both for thinking about what you actually want from life. Smart kid and smart mom.

I'll pop over and read your Sister Wife stuff - I missed it in the flurry of my life this week :) - Louise

My parents set up an RESP for me when I was young - best gift they ever gave me. I graduated debt free from university.

Our kids are 4 and 2 and we already have them set up - I'll be sure to check out the RBC links. I certainly want to do the same thing for my kids that my parents did for me. It made the world of difference.

Sorry to hear your son's been sick - that always throws us for a bit of a loop when it happens here too. Hope he's on the mend.

As for "getting through papers" I hear you - we never have enough time to do that here either. May the force be with you!

As for just generally staying afloat - I think I'm feeling that similar struggle. It seems to come and go - maybe next week will feel more in control.

Beautiful words; wonderful quote; and a beautiful post. Even in the tough weeks and the hard times, the ability to reflect on what it means, what to hold on to, and what matters - and to remember to keep learning from it all. I hope I remain equally teachable. - Louise

Happy one year of blogging! Can't believe you have only been at this for one year - it "feels" like you have been doing this much long (in that you write confidently and very much appear to know what you are doing :)).

Time alone sounds wonderful. I don't really get much of that, so I am jealous - good, supportive jealous, but still jealous. Enjoy it!

And I hope the garage sale went well.

You had me at waking up to no alarm and being able to do anything you want - and that being a whole lot of not much.

And reading. I need to bury myself in a good book. Ahhh. That would be fabulous.

Sounds like a wonderful week - and what you did for Lizzi - awesome.
