It felt very similar to other stories, and shows, I had seen. I could not place it, but now I remember that Twilight Zone episode. That episode was in a much higher level of quality though. There are no deep meanings, romantic undertones, dark conspiracies, grim situations, violence, crossover cameos, or hidden messages for the adult fans. Also, fanon and headcanon are just that: fan canon and someone's head canon. They are not official show canon and never will be. Please accept that some of us do not wish to applaud, hand wave, or celebrate animation errors, lazy edits, and poor quality control. Some of us frown upon mascotting what amounts to a rookie mistake and poor editing. Herald the successes, but caution the failures. It shows very poorly that the community embraces something so unintentionally sloppy, but criticizes something like wings on an adorkable bookworm. Lastly, it would behoove us to not try and become SMoFs, form elite fandom groups, or set ourselves above our peers. If you wish to produce fan media, run fan events, or chair gatherings, do it because you want to contribute to the community. Do not do it because you want to be in charge, elite, or special. Do not think yourself a celebrity or more of a fan than someone else. The only VIPs and special people are the show's voice talents, writers, producers, composers, and staff, not the staff of a convention or a fan artist.
