The World's First Diplomatic Blogoir : /blog/our-looming-eu-coup-d-tats-

Ah heck, they're just taking their cues from Obama, who seems to be doing his darnedest to rule by executive order, vice Constitutional authority. He's already asking Congress for more authority, and to combine certain departments into one large one, all the better to obfuscate it's workings and shield it's bureaucrats. If the EU Aristocracy truly wants to rule Europe, they should bring back Napoleon and place him in charge. He, at least, knew how to get things done.

Big Government : EXCLUSIVE DOCUMENTS: The Kerrys' Curious Stock Trades

Lurch and all the rest of those congress critters need to be sent packing. This country needs a law that holds ALL members of congress to the same standards and laws that everyone else is held to. In fact, an even better standard would be to link all federal employees, including all members of congress, the Executive branch, etc, to the same pay and benefits as the military. No exceptions. Same retirement benefits, medical benefits, etc.

The Sundries Shack : The GOP House Intel Chair's Stunning Display of Insult and Ignorance

Our enemies will hate us regardless of what we do. Here's something that I wish our leadership would understand: WE may not be at war with Islam, but Islam is most certainly at war with us. In fact, since it's inception, Islam has been at war with anyone and anything NOT named Islam. 14 centuries and counting. I'd say that's a pretty predictable record to draw intelligence from regarding Islam's intentions.

Big Government : Union Official, Professor Teach How-to College Course in Violent Union Tactics

Good luck with that. Your union thugs up there couldn't even intimidate enough voters to throw the Supreme Court election for Kloppenburger, though, apparently, they're trying real hard to do it through a recount. Leftist days are numbered. Americans have seen the travesty that passes for "progressive" thought, and the morally and financially bankrupt society that those attitudes and policies deliver. Unions=Legalized Extortion. Free men and free markets made this nation great, not socialism and organized crime, er, I mean, leftists and unions.

People haven't rejected conservatives at all. the problem is that your leftist enablers in the media keep refusing to report your stealing elections through voter fraud, stuffing ballot boxes, destroying absentee ballots from overseas military folks and hiding fraudulent donations through untraceable VISA and MasterCard pre-paid cash cards. But thanks for playing. Your Leftist and Union Thugs) days are actually numbered, as the voters in Wisconsin recently showed.

Big Peace : Bye Bye Military Health Care‏

To put the criminally poor record of DirigoChoice into perspective, at it's peak the plan barely enrolled 15,000 people and today has fewer than 10,000. Those 10K people are costing the taxpayers of Maine, of which there are fewer and fewer each year, some $155 MILLION dollars. ENOUGH! I live in Maine. It's a welfare magnet where Catholic Charities regularly dumps bus loads of Somali refugees, handing them contact sheets with the addresses and phone numbers of all the various welfare agencies and how to apply for assistance. Portland has a HUGE percentage of welfare recipients, and each year it gets worse because the legislature and governor just can't say NO! This past election, conservatives finally won the governorship and BOTH houses back and the first order of business was to try and rein in the welfare state. The hue and cry and gnashing of teeth has been as you might expect, but so far they're holding firm about making cuts and imposing limits. Baldacci was governor for 8 years, and has virtually bankrupt this great state. To see him placed in a position of trust regarding our nation's veterans is a travesty. NOTHING good will come from this.

Big Government : WI Elementary School Teacher Exposes Children To His Political Hatred

The frightening part is not that a person could hold such views, or even that a teacher like this man would be allowed anywhere NEAR children. No, the truly frightening past is that he is exactly like the many teachers that belong to the union(s). His views are absolutely typical for the leftists, and should surprise no one. Our schools have replaced education with indoctrination, and we need to take them apart and rebuild them.

Apples and oranges, dude, but nice PC way to try and change the subject. TM was out to kill FEDERAL OFFICIALS because of their actions at Waco and Ruby Ridge. The Islamists are out to kill all Americans, period. Doesn't mean McVeigh was right in what he did. He wasn't, and he deserved what he got. But let's get real and keep our eyes on where and who the real enemy is.

To heck with French food. We need a nice diner in downtown Portland. Something with comfort food, served in large portions at a reasonable price. You want french food? Go to France or learn to cook at home. Too many artists out there posing as chefs and being pretentious and pricey.

Probably has a lot to do with the threat of litigation if someone gets hurt. It could also have to do with concerns that allowing a gate might mean that a future city council might deem access a "right" and demand that he cede the property where the "gate" or "gates" might be to the city, etc.

www.portlandpressherald.com/ : King to endorse Cutler for governor | The Portland Press Herald / Maine Sunday Telegram

After King put Maine into a downward spiral, it's not surprising at all he would support Cutler. King was all about furthering his own interests at the expense of the taxpayers, and Cutler is right on track to follow suit. I will NEVER vote for an independent again. I voted for King the first time, but he lied through his teeth about his politics, and sided with the left on virtually every issue. Cutler is another of the same mold. A pox on them both. I can't wait to cast my vote for LePage.

I'll be voting for LePage. I had enough of the "independent" disaster of Angus King, thank you very much. I will NEVER trust any independent again. Cutler is just another leftist trying to pass himself off as a "moderate". Maine doesn't need any more moderates. We need true conservatives to take an axe to the social engineering programs that have nearly bankrupted our state. We need to slash welfare rolls, establish greater transparency in government, and work hard to tighten voting requirements to protect or voting process. Voting for Cutler is wasting a vote, and simply enabling Maine to continue it's decline into a nation;s premier welfare state.
