Ohhhhh this is interesting. I didn't even realize that wasn't a flower on the Tigerlily cover! Lameeeee. I actually really love the covers for Wild Awake and Second Chance Summer (but those books are also perfect to me so that might cloud my judgement). I do agree with Girl of Fire and Thorns though. I've never been a fan of that one.

I really enjoyed this one, but I 100% agree with you on the scope thing. The last half definitely felt rushed. I didn't know if it actually was or not because I was reading an e-copy, but it was obviously not just in my head. I felt like the moves between her dad's and her grandparents was just wayyyyy too underdeveloped, at least compared to the detail included during the tornado stuff. It didn't bother me too much when I was reading it, but looking back that's definitely an aspect that could be improved upon.

I TOTALLY CALLED IT. I'm so excited to read this book. I have the egalley but I'd rather wait until I can get my own physical copy because I want to read it while laying out in the sun. I can't wait for summer to actually get here because that puts me in the mood for all the summer books, which are my fave.

I am and have always been a bigger fan of hardcover books. This is mainly because I am always on the go, switching between purses, running around, and I need a book that's going to be able to hold up amongst the chaos. Paperbacks are easily bent/ripped, and I've found that it's a lot more difficult for me to take care of them. I like my books in perfect condition, so even though they're more expensive, I'd rather a hardback knowing it's not going to get ruined.

I am so glad I wasn't the only one who found the story confusing. At first I was thinking it was related to me being completely worn out from finals/school, but obviously that's not the case. I really wanted to love this one, because MLND was so good, but the confusion got completely in the way for me :(

I'm often the black sheep so it doesn't really bother me. I'm very picky when it comes to almost everything, so there are often books others love that I just don't see the appeal. For example, "cute" contemporary books. I cannot read those, and I know everyone else loves them! I used to feel so left out, but now I'm just "meh" about it because I think being the black sheep can be interesting! If we all felt the same way about a book, blogging would probably get pretty boring.

This sounds like such a me book. Like, everything about it hahah. I don't know about the younger side of YA though. That's difficult for me sometimes because it's hard not to be UGH STOP BEING SO PETTY. But who knows. I'm excited to read it!

I'm glad that you still enjoyed this book even though there were parts that weren't your favorite. I read this one last week and I LOVED it. Her biological dad and his family PISSED ME OFF so much, but also reminded me of some of my own "family" (I put it in quotes because I'm estranged from them now) so I could relate in that aspect. This one is definitely a bit more difficult to read because Jersey's grief is so raw throughout most of the book.
