It's so true that we spend a lot of time thinking ahead etc that we find it hard to enjoy the now - it's a hard habit to break.

It's hard, isn't it - the waiting game....not knowing what's next.

Thanks Deb. Sometimes you've just got to let things unfold as they will. I've really got to learn to do that.

I think that's my problem too - my mind never stops racing.

I'm glad that you can enjoy the 'now' - it certainly is hard to wait at times.

It is hard to wait - I am so impatient.

True - we are given these moments for a reason...and often they're not apparent until afterwards. I hope your shoulder is on the mend.

It's scary how easily it can happen. All ours have had lessons from a young age. We had friends who chose not to for their kids - I couldn't understand why, especially living in QLD. I've been near 2 near-drownings at a local lagoon, and it was only because adults were supervising that the kids were ok. I still supervise my 8 & 10 year old girls.

It's so easy to get caught up with 'life' that we neglect each other. Ours was a long-distance relationship to start with as well, but we've made the time to stay connected - it's not always easy, but it's necessary. Beautiful post. I'm glad you were able to spend that precious time together.

High school is such a small part of our life, it's a shame that it can leave such a huge impression though. Definitely NOT the best years of life!
