Really? It has high levels of lead? Oh that's such bad news. I have a nice little collection (same as yours actually!) too and we use it. Mostly to store fruit on the countertop, but I do use the casserole dish in the oven a few times a year. Well, if I must, I guess it's time to go shopping! Your nursing shawl is beautiful!

Thank you for the info about your hat, I was admiring it too. I miss nesting. Washing all those tiny clothes and fluffy diapers and arranging them so carefully. Enjoy this time! Oh and yes, your husband is a total sweetheart for pulling the screens out of the windows. How thoughtful!

Tell you little K that I knit a sweater for myself reverse stockinette and it's my most worn sweater because it's sooooo incredibly comfortable. I don't know, there's something about wearing it 'inside out' that makes it all the more cozy. (btw it's the Barn Sweater from Taproot.)

I've made about nine of Alicia's ornaments, however I haven't made that kit! You are going to love them once you finish. Each year I take them out and am so impressed with myself that I made them (I'm not much of an embroiderer!). They are such tiny little works of art, each one!

Your mitt are gorgeous! I must make some for myself! And your son, how sweet he is. I just ordered those same pjs for my son to give to him for next Christmas (thinking ahead for once) but he's 8 and not quite as adorable during slumber. I used baking soda and ac vinegar for three years successfully on my hair until we moved from city water to well water. Now our water is so mineral rich, I have to use store bought shampoo.
