thedaytimeninja.com : MECH iDEAS Demolition Crue Apex and Geminus Review

The damaged head is from Last Stand of the Wreckers! It's a pretty awesome little addition to fans of the mini-series. These guys are awesome, I'm hoping we get the rest of the Wrecker team from Mech Ideas. For their first foray into full fledged figures, they knocked it right out of the park!

thedaytimeninja.com : Making Models: Season 1, Episode 1 - LBX Achilles

The cool thing about these kits is that as you get better and better, you can tweek and customize them as you see fit. Almost off of my Master Grade Gundam kits have some metal detail parts worked in, as well as custom paint schemes. It can be a LOT of fun as long as you're patient.

I'm for sure getting Luke, he looks amazing. I'm a huge Star Wars fan too and the Lego Tie Fighter on my shelf can attest to that (but so can my Kotobukiya Boba Fett) - I'm very happy about this line! Great news!

I've built Gunpla for longer than I've been a Transformer collector (which should say something...) - they can be VERY VERY Worthwhile, but also VERY time consuming. Where "toys" have the instant gratification effect, with Gunpla and model kits, they are a very slow, patient process, but the gratification lasts MUCH longer.

Mine too, it took a few times before it would just freely move without force, but even now, its still very tight. Now you have to try the "chest panel" thing, it looks so much better than just having the door hang open :)

Oh man, he's my favorite toy of 2012 for sure! You should defiantly check out my site if you get the chance - I have how to get him into Boombox mode, how to fix the eject issues, and other tid-bits! Also, his head definitely swivel's left to right, its just a SUPER tight joint at first. Play with it a bit and it will loosen up.

thedaytimeninja.com : Weekly Poll: 3rd Party Winners in 2013?

Oh man, that's a tough poll. Inevitabely, I had to vote for FP. While I love what Mastermind Creations is doing, I think Fans Project put out more in terms of new volume which put them over the top. MMC is in a great spot to win next year though!

thedaytimeninja.com : Why 3rd Party Transformers Aren't Going Away Anytime Soon

First of all - Merry Christmas everyone! Second - Its not that I don't agree with your points, but if you're arguing economical issues, then you're ignoring a HUGE factor. Let's stick with your analogy: Apple has factories that produce thousands of iPhones a day. Now say a couple of guys design a way better iphone-like cell phone, that has more functionality and better equipment, sure the components are the same cost as what Apple's using, but if they're only 20 people producing 5 - 10 phones a day, the profit margin is completely skewed. The only way to make a marginal profit is to charge a much higher rate for the device.

Well frankly, I have never had an issue paying more for a piece that is either far more intricate or highly detailed or in most cases, both. I love 3rd party Support. While Hasbro leads the way, there is a LOT of ground to cover in the mythos of Transformers and 3rd party support provides fans with figures they would otherwise never see. So yes, please keep up the great work 3rd party guys!!

thedaytimeninja.com : Fansproject Assaulter WB-003 Review

3B - I like the carrier mode too. It has a sort of "Pegasus Class" look to it from MS Gundam. Daytime Ninja's right though, it does lack any kind of substantial "completed" feeling.

He did come in on Friday and hasn't left my side since! I've spent the weekend learning his transformations which are, luckily, quite easier than Springer's (which still give me trouble). I LOVE HIM! He's so big and heavy and awesome! But yeah mine's thighs/legs are real tight too. I'm kinda scared, but I'm sure Fans Project made the plastic strong enough. He's just...fricken awesome!

thedaytimeninja.com : Planet X Genesis, I Need You.

I would absolutely get this instead of Fort Max, but the real issue I'm struggling with is TFC's Superion. I don't know if I'd be able to swing both of them and so I'll need to make a decision at some point in the future.
