Just Another iPhone Blog : Searching with Bing on the iPhone (Verdict: Don't)

I totally agree, another side effect of Bing for desktop is it installs spybots on my computer everytime I get redirected there. Drives me insane! I love Google for its simplicity.

Just Another iPhone Blog : Demo of Fast App Switching apps on iOS 4

Thanks for such a thorough answer. That's actually what I was hoping for cause lord knows I already have to charge my iphone way too much! For my uses, I don't need to be switching between apps very much, but knowing that it won't eat up my battery excessively lets me know I'll be okay with upgrading. Thanks again.

Say if you had 2 apps running, (ie. evernote and calendar), would it consume double the battery power? Or when an app gets switched to the background, does it go into a sort-of "sleep" mode where it consumes less power? This is my number one concern/question with OS 4. If it consumes the same amount of battery, I might as well just close an app before switching and save myself the hassle of charging my iPhone even more than I already do. I haven't read anything about this, and I'm very curious! Great vid Thomas!

I recommend IM+ for all your messaging needs, it's fantastic, and allows you to use any of a ton of messenger accounts, ie AOL, MSN, Skype, ect. so you can amalgamate all of your messenger accounts into the same app! worth a look

Just Another iPhone Blog : Review: Twin Blades for iPhone

Glad to hear it... Yeah I know right? I was convinced something was causing the slowdown, maybe I should get the newest update and try it again... Also, I started writing a review of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies - let me know if you were planning on writing about it and I can send you my notes, otherwise I'll continue!

Just Another iPhone Blog : Review: Twin Blades for iPhone

I thought of this game showed a lot of promise, but it for me, did not play smoothly. The framerate chugged for me, even after each update, and trying it on a iPod Touch 2g (32gig) and a iphone 3gs. I was really looking forward it, and at first I thought maybe it was my device, but after trying it out on multiple machines, I gave up. Another great review Thomas, I think you're criticisms and praise are spot on! it's definitely a nice looking game... PS Pride and Prejudice and Zombies came out recently and its a very similar experience, but with a bit more depth and polish (at least in my opinion), fans of this type of game should check that out too.

Just Another iPhone Blog : A Look at DiskAid 4.0: The iPhone File Transfer Tool

I'll have to check that out at some point, although I was tentative to try Iphone PC Suite, just based on the loose descriptions of what it does posted on the download website. After reading the official website, I couldn't tell if it would just let me simply transfer files like my iPhone was a "my computer" folder. Is the functionality of iPhone PC Suite comparable to DiskAid? Can I just use for transferrring files only, and not all the other stuff listed on the iPhone PC Suite website that I'm not interested in, like installing programs, or sending SMS messages? If it's as simple as works as well as DiskAid, it'd be hard not to recommend! Thanks for your comment.
