You know what would be funny if a random popped by and saw "you" and thought "d'aw LIL OL' ME?!?". Creeper status achieved. My commenting days started and ended a lot of the times with TTT. I still try to do them but commenting-wise I am garbage.

Fun idea: just read books you know you'll hate and then review them. Hey, maybe one will surprise you.

throwaway comment is throwaway.

I lived by the mantra that blogging is as much as what you put in. With my own personal dip in commenting (and just being present in the community), I surely noticed the change in the community to which I had built for myself. That's on me, I guess, but the prior joy of commenting is a lot more difficult now when I'm getting home at like 8-9 p.m. and all I want to do is Blanket Burrito and/or sleep. Such is [blogging] life, I guess.

Add to that the fact that other things just seem that much more exciting and fun with immediate [often guaranteed] pleasure re: by gaming etc., the immediate gratification just isn't there. Maybe that's just my pessimistic change in perspectives though with being in Year 3+ of blogging. Yikes I'm old af.

Damn Jenna, I know you so well. Literally thought "probably Jem and Will #1-- THERE IT IS!"

I also cannot believe I haven't read/finished Red Rising yet omfg I need to get on this Darrow/Sevro bromance. I cry because I have read the first 150 pages of RR like 3 times already and stopped for something else guh.

Pleasantly surprised this isn't "Jenna Complains About Canadian Weather (But No One is Surprised)" TBH.

I quite enjoy that even though community members might not see each other often, attending events does often feel like no time has passed since we all speak with each other candidly online anyways.

I had to Google these warm lights as I've only seen Fairy (?) lights being used in IG photos.

Either way, I am most thankful for becoming a damn cloud FINALLYYYYYYY PRAISE THE BOOK GODS.

...your review puts my current thoughts and analysis of this book to shame :(... I'm so happy to hear you enjoyed this book -- even the limitless space -- although that was part of the book that I have the most mixed feelings about re: part of me wants to know more but I can acknowledge that as a standalone, that information is not needed. The struggle is real.

I too appreciated how well paced this story was (if a bit heavy on the romance at times with Tyrus). That being said, I think I'm going to have to rate this book lower for the ending as it just seemed a bit weak to me after the strength of such a tight conflict driven by a certain morally ambiguous villain (?). I wouldn't really classify that relative as the antagonist though? Or maybe I do. I don't even know anymore.
My recent post [Top Ten Tuesday] – #128 – Horror/Spooky Fiction

I read and enjoyed (for the most part) The Dead House (which I would say is another addition to the epistolary/documentary narrative format that readers may enjoy!) and am eager to read Kurtagich's Creeper Man (which I think was renamed to And the Trees Crept In). Otherwise, I did haul Shutter a long time back and still haven't gotten to it. Such is life. I don't even think I've read one spooky book this pumpkin spice season. Le sigh.
