So sorry that you're confined to bed ... must be VERY frustrating at this time of the year. But it sounds like your making good use of the time.
May the chest bugs depart as quickly as possible.

I ADORE these bells - they'd probably fit the old needles I have that were my mother's and grandmother's ... how could an Aussie who can't make it to Bath for the fairs get a look in? How much will you be selling them for?

I LOVE linen ... in the summer I LIVE in it!

It gets so hot, and now often humid, here in Melbourne that linen is the 'only' fabric for me. It's cool, soft and swishes as I move ... cooling in itself.

I NEVER iron my linen clothing - because it crushes SO easily, I find it looks better unironed. I always handwash it and hang it wet, to drip dry ... giving it a soft, slightly textured, gently-crumpled yet not creased look.

So ... 2 blog posts in a row = 2 fabrics that I love ... good going!! ;-)

Ah ... Osh Kosh cords ... yes! I remember those gorgeous blue ones ... soft and cuddly!
We're heading into summer over here ... but I tell you what ... next winter I'll have my nose to the ground hunting for cords. I'd forgotten how comfy they are.
BTW ... I couldn't believe the 'return' desert boots made here ... I'd suggest DH go back to BOTH ... but it wouldn't look the same ... his ... er ... body shape has ... um ... 'changed a litte' since the 70s! (altho his love of pizza, good red wine and minis has not!!). ;-)

Ah ... corduroy ... takes me back to my uni days in the 70s. My DH always word 'cords' with his 'desert' boots ... very de rigueur in the Monash University Physics Department ... along with a beard (which he still sports).
Those were days ... filled with friends, pizza nights, red wine and trips away in the old burgundy Mini.
We both still love cords but, alas, don't own any ... must do something about that.

I am SO going to plant a deep red musky rose ... I WANT some ... NOW!!
At the moment I have wonderfully scented roses, but they're all pale ... come spring they'll get a new friend ... after all, this year, all I need is 1 bloom to get my vinegar .

... OR ... hmm ... do I need to stalk the neighbourhood in search of the 'best' velvety red rose??? ;-)
